Well, to be honest, I did want the Bulls to try to trade Hinrich to Charlotte for the 9th pick, and I also later wanted them to trade into the early second round, using their second round pick as the main piece. That could've gotten them Lopez and Jordan.

Yea i agree with all of you.....But to answer TopBullsfans question...from the looks of it, the Suns at 14 and the Pistons at 15 could be interested in Mullens. Phoenix because they might be trading Shaq, and the Pistons because they need a big...but i dont see Mullens being a Pistons type of player...they usually go for tough nosed players. Hopefully Mullens just comes out some more and says he wants to be a Bull and teams might think twice about taking him.

check it, Bulls might as well draft "That 70's show Mullens" if he falls to us. Contrast this, Blair has been alleged to have bad knees. He plays under the rim. His wingspan is 7'2''. Is it just me or he sounds like a less explosive Jason Maxiell? Did I forget to mention that his jumpshot isn't nowhere near Maxiell's accuracy. Think about this, Bulls are most likely going to trade for Stoudemire or Bosh on draft day, so why not take the sexier pick in Mullens. He could offer a lot of mismatch problems for oppositions. Whereas for Blair, most likely his butt will be on the bench behind one of the proto's. I just noticed that Blair combine results aren't near Maxiell's results. How can you draft him with the 16th selection if he's 6'6'' with no jump-shot and relies on power. It's not going to work with them attributes and playing under the rim don't help. The only part about his game I like is his personality and rebounding. No doubt he has heart but so does most undersized Power Forwards - do they have another choice lol. I was looking at him shoot on ESPNU and his shot wasn't falling. His form looked inconsistent too. People are calling Mullens a bust; they need to rethink about that statement lol.

If the Bulls trade for Amare or Bosh during the draft, they probably won't have the #16 pick left on their roster.

you never know dude. I see some the most dumbest trades like the one about to happen, you know, the Wallace and Sasha Pav for Shaq.

Again I'm not down on Mullens, I just can't believe how high some perceive his stock to be. +1

I agree with that statement too. While I'm high on him myself, I just can't see how he's gone up 5 spots in 2 weeks without any real news about great workouts or anything like that happening since the combine.

Im just afraid of Phoenix and Detroit, i really hope they dont take him....there will be much better players on the board at that time for those 2 teams. And both teams are considered farely older teams, so i would think they would want a more ready to play type of player then a project in Mullens...but you never know. If the Suns trade Shaq....thier bigs would then be...STAT,Robin Lopez,Ben Wallace and Louis Amundson. Is that good enough for them to pass on Mullens? Hope so. Ive heard they like some PG's in this draft. As for the Pistons, ive read that they most likely will find a bigman through Free Agency. I think Daye might be picked by either 1 of these teams also, both seemed high on him.

I believe the reason his stock is going up is because size (quality bigmen) wins, Lakers, Orlando, Boston, Houston, all have size. If you want size in this or next years draft there are VERY few quality bigmen. So his value is going up because he is RARE, in a different draft,a year with several other bigmen he might not be drafted so high, but if we want size (quality bigman) he is the only game in town. I understand we will have to wait for him to develope and he might not ever develope, but I think he is worth the risk!!!

Have anyone scouted BJ Mullens, because I did and his finishing ability around the rim has many saying NeNe. The dude slams everything home with them great hands. That's something Tyrus Thomas can't do. So I think you might want to take that into account. I'm thinking Mullens and Noah in the front court; you have two guys that are world class athletes that has tons of talent. Rose will only make them better! I would love to see Miller spread his magic dust on Mullens like he did Noah, J.Thompson and Hawes.

Thats a good comparison actaully....Nene. Both very athletic bigman with good footwork and nice post games. I would compare Mullens to Kaman/Nene/Eddy Curry on the Bulls

True that. Eddy Curry just ate himself out the gym, I don't see that being a issue with Mullens. Then people keep saying Blair, why not take the guy from Chicago name Luke Harangody with the 26th pick. Both guys are homogeneous to each other. I don't know, I'm just never crazy about undersized PF's. But if you kill two one with one stone, Luke is the way to go. He's arguably tougher than Blair and his skill level is higher. Plus, you can't beat that he's from the Chicago area, right outside of Indiana.

Chad Ford latest news:
The word out of the workouts in New Jersey was that Ohio State's B.J. Mullens skipped the workout because he had been promised to be picked in the top 16.
The top 16 probably means No. 16, which is the Chicago Bulls. Mullens would be a really good fit for Chicago, as he has huge upside and plays a position of need. He's a long ways away, but the Bulls probably could afford to gamble at this point in the draft.
A few other teams, including the Knicks, Bobcats and Suns, also are considering Mullens, but it is most likely that he'll be on the board at No. 16 when the Bulls pick.
If Mullens does go to Chicago, that could be really bad news for Pittsburgh's DeJuan Blair, who is slipping a bit after the medical report from Chicago red-flagged his knees. Although teams have varying degrees of concern, a number of the teams in his sweet spot in the draft -- 10 to 15 -- sound worried that a couple of previous ACL tears could cause problems for him later in his career.
If they are concerned and pass on him -- and Chicago takes Mullens at No. 16 -- Blair could be in for a draft night slide. The Sixers (No. 17), Wolves (No. 18) and Hawks (No. 19) don't really need a 4 like Blair. And although the Jazz (No. 20) could use another big if they lose Carlos Boozer, Blair probably is too similar to Paul Millsap.
I wouldn't be shocked to see Portland GM Kevin Pritchard, always the opportunist, try to find a way to move up into the middle of the first round to grab him. The Blazers want more toughness up front, and Blair certainly would provide that.
