No prob guys! Check this link out, Mullens says Minni, Detroit, and Chicago has expressed entrance! I think Dumars might ruin our chances of possibly landing Mullens. I'm in Detroit right now and Dumars has a community that's keen on talent. I hope they don't take him.

That was praise considering the source in that video.

Quote
He's just young. He's long, he's got good skills. His best ball is ahead of him...He's gonna get better as he matures. You know these kids, especially big kids that come out of school early, their learning curve is gonna be greater but the rewards if they're dedicated to be coached is gonna be pretty phenomenal. So, he has real good skill, you know he's got good feet, he's long, he can shoot the ball, he can catch it...but he's just a young big kid and it's just gonna take a little time, but he's gonna be fine.

Larry will call a scrub a scrub, so to hear him say that about Mullens impresses me.

KC Johnson claims there is no guarantee from the Bulls.

Quote
Tweet this: Ohio State center B.J. Mullens told Charlotte reporters after his Monday workout for the Bobcats that the Pistons and Bulls have expressed the most interest in him. This comes on the heels of Mullens allegedly posting on Twitter that the Bulls promised him they would pick him at No. 16.

Though the Bulls have worked out Mullens, no such promise has been made.

I think there was a promised made, but the Bulls just dont want people to know about it. Larry Brown is right, i agree with him too. Maybe the Bulls should try to get the 14th pick from the Suns to snag Mullens.

16th and Aaron Gray

For

14th

Something like that...anybody else have a better idea?

How about Deng, Tim Thomas, Jerome James, & #26 for *** & #14.

Someone said Charlotte has interest in Mullen, does anyone have more details on that?

Would Milwaukee trade #10 for Kirk, reunite him with Scott Skiles?
Would would it take to get #10 from Milwaukee? That should be high enough to get Mullins.

Yea that would be plenty high for Mullens, maybe to high....im not sure about Milwaukee, i think they cant afford anything right now, so i doubt they would want Kirk especially if they get a chance at Jennings,Teague,Flynn exc... Maybe the Bobcats at 12 would want Kirk...they are looking for a SG...i think more of a bigger SG though.

This is exactly what I was thinking about, getting the 14th pick. On another topic, Dumars could trade Prince or Hamilton for a big and take Daye or James Johnson, whom he really likes I hear. Secondly, I think Kerr could give us Stoudemire - like West gave Gasol to Lakers. For who... think about this:

Bulls: Stoudemire, 14th pick

Suns: Deng, Ty.Thomas, J.James, and 16th pick

Can a team trade a draft pick for another draft and cash, is that legal?

Would Charlotte trade # 12 for, our # 16 & cash?

Or would Phoenix trade # 14 for our # 16 & cash?

In these economic times that would save them a small amount in salary plus whatever money we give them, just to move down a couple of slots. They might go for it, unless they have their sights on someone that could be taken between (12 or 14) & 16. Either would get us ahead of detroit, so we might be able to safely pick Mullin.

I'm actually thinking that draft picks may be what teams with money problems will want, rookie contracts are pretty good for teams usually.

To answer topbullsfan question...im pretty sure you can do that...Ive heard for a while that the Suns actaully wanted to sell their draft pick to someone else because they are having some money problems. Them not making the playoffs actually hurt them by getting a better pick lol Draft picks make very little money so the 14th pick an the 16th i dont think is that much different...so yea the Bulls could try to give them a little bit of cash and our pick to land that 14th pick. D Rose made about 4.5 mil this year i think and middle 1st rounders make about 2.5 mil i believe...so yea they are pretty cheap and sometimes play better then what they make. I would definitely look into it if the Bulls really want Mullens.

Article on hoopsworld...

No Promises: There has been a lot of speculation that B.J. Mullens has a promise from the Chicago Bulls, which is why he opted not to work out in the New Jersey group workout. While Chicago was impressed and labeled Mullens a "lottery type" talent, Mullens decision had more to do with the group workouts themselves than a team guarantee. Sources close to the situation said Mullens was hearing the kinds of feedback he wanted to hear and that the group workout environment was not the best place for him to showcase, simply because of how these workouts have been assembled. The Bulls do have eyes for Mullens at #16, but so do the Phoenix Suns who at #14 could grab B.J. Typically when a "promise " is made the player shuts down workouts, but in Mullens case he's got workouts scheduled for the balance of the week. Several agents have commented that they understand why teams have taken part in these group workouts, but most have said they feel the clutter may have added confusion to the process and that next year they may think twice about putting their top tier players in. Several players who were on the outside of the draft picture have benefited from having so many teams see them in one sitting, but the upper tier guys may not have benefited as much as expected.

I'm having a hard time believing Bulls will draft a role player for the present and future. In means, someone like Hansbrough or Blair are limited and might not be there at 16. We all know how crucial Mullens can be in the future with Bulls. He can present a lot of mismatches with Noah and Tyrus Thomas. His best ball is ahead of him and Rose can extract it. I don't see why Kerr would draft Mullens because of the issues that are going on there right now. They also haven't let Lopez fulfill his opportunity. Now, the Bobcats won't draft him because Larry Brown really wants to win now. I'm thinking they draft Henderson or T.Williams. Dumars can always pull off a trade that can land them someone like Chandler and some rotation guy, like Butler. Yeah, Hamilton for Chandler and Butler. I really can't see him taking Mullens due to the "winning now" theme that's taking place in Detroit. He hasn't always been a GM that say we have a void here, so lets fill it. He might make moves and address that Center position through FA by getting Gortat. Gortat has been apart of a winning team and that might appeal to Dumars more.
