The Chicago Bulls are trying to convince the New Jersey Nets to take their 16th and 26th picks to move to No. 11, and one Eastern Conference executive says Chicago’s target is Wake Forest forward James Johnson.
Some say Johnson has been slipping and could be available at No. 16, but no one seems sure about anything in this draft.
I don't think the Bulls should trade up to get Johnson since there's a chance he could fall to 16. If he doesn't, oh well. They could still grab someone at that spot.

I saw this too.....usually when i see things reported by Yahoo!, i tend not to believe them. Recently Johnson has seemed to be falling down draftboards, i think i even saw him at like 20th on some site....Bulls want Mullens imo. They want to make sure they get him too, that's why i think they would trade up. This draft is pretty much go get the player you want because theres not that much difference between talent level. Hansbrough or T Will could go late lottery and its not even that big of a deal....New Jersey wants TWill or Hansbrough....trade down with the Bulls so we can pick at the 11th. Hoopsworld article- And it seems Tyler Hansbrough may get a green room invite on draft night, signaling at least one NBA team in the top 14 has him as a possible pick. Word is New Jersey is very high on Hansbrough and could make him the 11th pick. The problem with that is New Jersey has told several agents they plan to trade down on draft night, so it will be interesting to see the names invited to New York and whether Tyler actually makes the cut. Realgm's perspective on the Bulls and what they should do....+2 good article i agree http://bulls.realgm.com/articles/34/20090619/30_teams_30_days_chicago_draft_preview/

NBA Draft.net article....This is why i think the Bulls want to move up....
BJ Mullens Promise?
BJ Mullens Two different sources have indicated to NBADraft.net on Friday that the Pistons have a promise in place to take BJ Mullens if he's available to the them at 15.
Mullens works well with the rebuilding Pistons as he's a player with significant upside but will take time to become a contributor. With the Pistons in the process of rebuilding their squad, Mullens offers them a potential center for the future.
Tyler Hansbrough On the Rise
After measuring very impressively in Chicago and testing well in the athleticism workouts, Tyler Hansbrough has been on the rise lately and could go as high as 11 to New Jersey. In fact, New Jersey looks like the likely destination for Hansbrough at this point.
The all time leading scorer in the ACC is considered a surefire contributor (safe pick), which in a weak draft is a valued commodity. Hansbrough may have leapfrogged DeJuan Blair who continues to impress in workouts himself.
DeJuan Blair Likely to Chicago
It's looking very likely that if he gets to them the Bulls will take DeJuan Blair. Blair makes a lot of sense as he would work well platooning with the longer and more versatile Joakim Noah at the 4 position. Blair's toughness and ability to rebound would fill a huge void for a team that was 20th in rebounds last year.

I guess Terrence Williams is more weird then a trouble maker, check this out
Want to know why Terrence Williams' stock is all over the place? He's an eccentric kid. Not necessarily a bad kid, but definitely different. Everyone loves his talent, but some are just a little uneasy. Someone forwarded this little blurb to me from a Sports Illustrated piece on Louisville in March. I think it sums things up: "The last line of Williams' pregame monologue is a request for all his dead relatives -- his father, Edgar; his grandparents Mary Jackson and Bobby Perkins; and two cousins -- to 'watch over me as I have fun.' Their names are tattooed on his left arm and concealed by a compression sleeve that he says he wears to keep connected to them, spiritually. Williams may well be the only player to wear a sleeve solely for that reason, but he has always been sartorially idiosyncratic. He often wears custom-made photo T-shirts as tributes to teammates and coaches (his Pitino shirt has a shot of his coach playing point guard at UMass in the early '70s), and he sometimes shows up for practice wearing two different- colored shoes.
haha i love him even more kno haha i hope he does to charlotte overrall its mullens/clark/blair/johnson/daye as the bulls board for the16th pick at 26th im thinking collison if hinrich is traded or Ellington if captain kirk stays

K.C. Johnson article in the SUn Times
The Bulls have talked to several teams ahead of them in next week's draft in an attempt to turn picks Nos. 16 and 26 into one selection, according to league sources. Several media outlets reported that one of the teams is New Jersey, but one league source said there have been talks with other teams.
The reason for this could be twofold. Not only might there be a player the Bulls want who they don't think will be available at No. 16, but they aren't crazy about adding two rookie salaries to their payroll as they continue to explore ways to clear money and possibly re-sign Ben Gordon.
Yahoo Sports first reported the Bulls are trying to shed injured Jerome James' expiring contract in an attempt to free up money for Gordon. Detroit is expected to make a major run at Gordon, an unrestricted free agent, on July 1.
The Bulls will continue their draft workout schedule at the Berto Center this weekend with 11 players visiting on Saturday and Sunday, including Louisville forward Earl Clark.

Today KC wrote in the tribune that they may want to package picks to get Gerald Henderson. There is no way to figure the Bulls out, which is good a guess, but it sucks as a fan. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/basketball/bulls/chi-23-bulls-draft-chicago-jun23,0,3324174.story I am all for moving out to get Henderson. And if they have interest in adding a Power Forward then why not include Tyrus in a deal. Why not Tyrus and the 26th pick? That should fetch you Henderson and a veteran Power Forward. And you can get another young Power Forward or Center at 16th. Say.......? Tyrus & 26th to NJ for Boone and 11th Draft Henderson 11th and then at 16th you could get either Blair, Johnson, Mullens or Clark. Then you could ship Hinrich to Portland for Travis Outlaw Steve Blake 2nd round #3

Bulls / Bills / Marlins / Noles ben gordon was a guy he trusted and always passed to when he was open. those other guys are not the kind of shooters i'm talking about, they are more mid range guys. how many times did we see rose get hinrich, deng or salmons a wide open shot and those guys would pump fake then try to step in to get a better shot and end up passing up a wide open 3 for a contested 20 footer? they are not the kind of guy's rose needs. i said when he was drafted that deng and hinrich had to go and

I REALLY hope they don't waste their pick on Blair if someone like Mullens is there. I will be even more ticked off than I was when they drafted Noah if they wind up doing that.

I serously think its between Mullens and Blair because they are both coming in for 2nd workouts tomorrow. They will be the last workouts hosted by the Bulls this summer. They are going to go with 1 of them imo. Probably whoever does better in the workout tomorrow.

Yeah, I just hope someone before us winds up going with Blair so that the Bulls can't make that mistake.

I think the Bulls are moving up to take whatever high touted player that falls to them, maybe Derozen or Flynn. Then again, it could be for BJ Mullens, that's what I hope.
