What do you guys make of the rumor that the Bulls are trying to package thier two picks for a higher pick? How high of a pick makes it worth it, and what player do you think they are going after?

Also, What's up with Tyrus Thomas's Twitter? Anyone have a clue what he is talking about?

Does these three twitters imply that he's been traded to Detroit?  They are all in order through today, including the Bad Boys one 1 minute ago.

Im telling ya, i really think the Bulls want Mullens....Now supposely Detriot has promised him and he might not end up for us at 16. NJ wants to move down and the Bulls have 2 spots where they can land the players NJ wants. Looking at the numbers financially , Last year-

Bayless was picked 11th and made 1.9 mil

EQUALING- 1.9 mil in picks

Mareesse Speights was picked 16th and made 1.5 mil
George Hill was picked 26th and made 1 mil

EQUALING- 2.5 mil in draft picks

SO you save a little bit of money to help possibly re-sign BG

Bulls probably dont really care for anyone at the 26th pick, and they just want to go after the player they like the best in this draft. Phoenix,Charlotte and Detroit have all showed interest in Mullens...The Bulls get the 11th they for sure have him, if thats their player they have their eye one.

If the Bulls pick Mullens at 11th I and many others would stop being Bulls fans.

lol maybe its Mullens maybe its someone else....not sure...but if thats what they are doing then then trading up makes sense, that way no one else can land Mullens.

Not Really. Mullens is not worth an 11th pick.  When you have James Johnson,DeJuan Blair,Earl Clark all at the 11th spot and you take Mullens?

If they move up to the 10-12th spot its likely they'll end up with an early to late 2nd rounder as well (or they'll make a seperate trade for one).  I still don't think we have a roster spot for another rotation player, so the only people we should look at in this draft is a big time project (Mullens fits that perfectly) or an international guy that we can keep overseas.  We simply don't have room for anyone else, barring a 2 for 1, 3 for 1 trade package.  IMO, and I've said this before, if the Bulls really think Mullens can develop (which I personally am not sure of) then you have to take him.  We are coming upon a desert landscape of 7 foot tall true centers.  There looks to be at MOST 2 guys next season and no more than 2-3 the season after that available in either of the next two drafts.  Even if Mullens doesn't develop for another 3 seasons, its possible that he'll still be the best available center to the Bulls in any of the next 3 seasons.  For that reason, take a shot.  Its always good to stab division rival in the back while making a move like this, so I'm all for it.

You never know, they might be seeing something out of Mullens that we dont know yet....his upside is great and he might be the only guy they really want on their team right now. We are pretty set at every position except the Center. Their isnt a PF at 16th that will be able start for us and were not going to draft a backup PG at 16. If all they want is Mullens then do it i guess....plus you save some money.

+2 Bteam.....plus if you land a 2nd rounder out the deal, you then dont have to pay a guy at 26th a guaranteed contract for the next 3 years....in the 2nd round, guys like Patty Mills,Darren Collison,AJ Price all could very well be there. All we need is a backup....Thats how we got Duhon and he did great for us being a backup.
