Even if Noah does get stronger he has almost no offensive game. He is a great backup 5/4, not a starter, not with Tyrus next to him. Both of them are undersized and both have little offensive skills. One of them has to go or except a backup role for this team to improve. Brad Miller is getting old and wont be around much longer, do you remember how this team played before he got here, with Tyrus and Noah as our starting 4 & 5. I do not want to return to that.

uhhh, the Bulls went the entire season with Tyrus at the 4 and Noah at the 5.  Miller did not start a single game.
The team didn't start playing well until Miller and Salmons got here. Cant you see that this team needs a center with legit size. If you know of another answer besides Mullin or maybe Kaman please let us know what that is. Sometimes you have to over pay to get what you need (16+26=11 & Mullin).

Once again, no need to trade that high for fricken Mullens.  The only team that might grab him is Detriot, but they desperately need a 6th man.  I honestly see Rasheed back in Det and having them sign Boozer or Gordon.  They would love to grab the best tweener foward in this draft in Johnson and get results right away rather than possibly witnessing Milicic v2 develop in Detriot.

I dont think he will be Milicic lol Not that bad. But looking at the teams before us on the draft board....Pistons have actually looked into trading their pick, but i dont think we would become trading partners. The Suns are a team that we could probably work something out with at 14th. They have openly said they wanted to trade down or trade out of their spot, the Bulls could then grab Mullens at 14th. Pacers seem to like Blair or some SG's or PGs. Bobcats want Henderson or Twill. New Jersey is looking to move down. So of those 4 or 5 teams, i think we have a shot at getting the 11th pick or the Suns 14th pick.

IT will come down to this workout on Tuesday....Mark my words

DeJuan Blair’s Outlook Improving?

A pair of MRIs making the rounds amongst NBA teams appear to be easing some concerns about DeJuan Blair’s knees, according to his agent Happy Walters. Blair was red-flagged at the NBA pre-draft camp for the ACL tears he suffered in both knees while in college. He does not appears to have an ACL in either knee now, and there were concerns that he may struggle to stay healthy as his career moves on.

In response, Blair’s camp retrieved an MRI from November of 2008 done at Pittsburgh for doctors to compare with the MRI of his knees from the pre-draft camp earlier this month. The specialists found that there had been “no deterioration in the situation of his knees whatsoever over the course of the season,” which has been conveyed to the doctors of various NBA teams that are most interested in Blair at the moment.

Blair still appears to be strongly in consideration at Indiana (#13) and Chicago (#16), and will indeed visit the Bulls on Tuesday to work out against B.J. Mullens. He’ll be in Utah (picking 20th) on Monday.

So some of you would rather have a 6'7, sorely undersized big guy that can't jump and has terrible knees than a 7'0 19 year old that has all the of the talent set you'd like in a center, minus a good head on his shoulders; oh, and no history of injury problems?

Bteam your wrong....he is 6'6 lol

I really think its going to come down to the 1 on 1 on Tuesday. Mullens vs Blair. Both will be visiting for a 2nd time. Bulls can see if Mullens can hang with Blair, maybe show some toughness and skill while he is at it. Blair will get a chance to show the Bulls if he can play against athletic 7 footers. I think if Mullens holds his own or at least shows some signs, the Bulls will try to grab him instead of Blair. If Blair dominates him....Bulls will go for Blair.

Imo what you see out of Blair is pretty much what your going to get, i dont see him improving much more unless he gets a jump shot...I actually see his skills declining in a couple years due to his weight and knees. On the other hand you have Mullens that could develop into a great center, which probably wont happen but a decent serviceable center isnt that bad ether. And at only 19 has loads of potential. The great teams usually have great PGs and Good centers. Its a winning formula to possibly match him up with D Rose.

First I like Mullens. That said what scared me away from him is a statement he made about wanting to play like Dirk Nowitski. I feel the Bulls need a big man that is not affraid to rough it up, & That statement made me wonder how much banging Mullens wants to do. He has every chance to become a great player, I don't dispute that. But not sure about how he wants to play like. Remember how we all thought Tyrus was going to play like Howard and Stoudemire. And we were jacked up to see this guy dunk on people like Shawn Kemp. Hasn't happened really. Because that's not how Tyrus sees himself. Speaking of Tyrus he has a sore wrist and thus that is why the wierd Twitter comments. So I think it's Dejuan Blair for me at this point. I exspecially like how it's his habit to lurk just to the side of the basket. The same way Dorsey did at Memphis. I think Blair and Rose could be a better fit then Rose and Mullens.

Mullens has also said he wants to play like Kevin Garnett and Amare. Perhaps he doesn't recognize with his strengths are. He needs a good big man coach to help him maximize his skill no matter where he ends up.

I see what he meant but it just came off the wrong way, he's just sayin he has a pretty good jumper, can finish at the rim like amare and whatever about KG i don't really c much there unless he means his jumpshot off the pick / pop... But again can we stop acting like trading 5 spots is sooooooo high... Bobcats could use an actual center so Okafor can play PF like he should be doing, You always gotta think in the back of ur head a team might be trading up to grab ur player... If u move up to 11 and only trade the 16th / 26th pick and pickup a 2nd rounder in return I have no problem with that... You can easily grab a Danny Green, Dionte Christmas, Toney Douglas, Jack Mcllinton, Jodie Meeks, Jerel McNeal who may end up being better than the person u draft at 26th, Plus that's 1 less guranteed contract u have to worry about.

ben gordon was a guy he trusted and always passed to when he was open.  those other guys are not the kind of shooters i'm talking about, they are more mid range guys.  how many times did we see rose get hinrich, deng or salmons a wide open shot and those guys would pump fake then try to step in to get a better shot and end up passing up a wide open 3 for a contested 20 footer? they are not the kind of guy's rose needs.  i said when he was drafted that deng and hinrich had to go and

How does Mullens even resemble Milicic outside of both of them being tall and white? Seriously, that's a comparison from out of left field.

+2 with Grazzles comment, i think it came out wrong lol I can see what he meant with Amare, because he likes to dunk everything around the rim. But yea a guy in the 2nd round could very easily be better then the 26th pick. Most of the seniors are actually in the 2nd round. I wouldnt mind a 2nd rounder.

I think that was a fickle statement Mullens said. He also said his game should resemble Stoudemire on the NBA level. Once Vinny Del Negro gets his hands on Mullens and show him the ropes, he'll know his role and perform. I'm not worried about him not being tough, you can always get that through free agency. Lakers needed a player that could do one thing and that was wing skills. They got Ariza to address that need. Remember, Gasol isn't the toughest dude on that team. Bynum isn't the toughest neither. You can get specialist through Free Agency but you can't get a unproven seven footer with touch around the basket by going that route. Last note, I think Mullens is tougher than Bynum on a low key note.

I think Blair and Rose could be a better fit then Rose and Mullens.
You say that like you think they're going to be the next Stockton/Malone.  Lets get one thing straight.  At best, Blair is Glen Davis.  He'll be a journeyman 8th/9th rotation player that can help when your starters get in foul trouble.  He MIGHT become one of those fan favorites that gets in, goes 0-4, grabs 6 rebounds and has that one out of bounds scramble or face off with an opposing star that makes the fans think he's the greatest thing in the whole world.  Then, after increasing his popularity, he ends up with one of those Brian Cardinal like 6 million per season for 12 years contracts that means that he'll never leave the team, no matter how bad he gets when he reaches 30.

Now, Mullens COULD end up being worse, but he might actually develop into a Chris Kaman (two years ago) type or Andres Biedrins type.  At least with Mullens, no one will be fooled by his play during his first 5 seasons.  He's either going to earn a 2nd contract as a starter, or he'll be considered a bust, and spend the next few years bouncing around the league, until he disappears altogether.  Blair will never be confused with an NBA starter or big time contributor, Mullens will either be one, or he won't.  So, saying that Blair and Rose somehow "fit" as a superstar and a 8th man journeyman, just doesn't quite mesh with me.
