OK, this is old news, but I have been in China for the last 9 days, so it's new to me.  I like this signing, although I think we could have done better; I hope this isn't the end of our free agent activity.  However, I really like Wilcox as a player and at 6'10" can play the 4 and the 5.  Wilcox played last year for the Thunder before being traded to the Knicks (he was first traded to the Hornets in the ill-fated Chandler deal that was undone).  Wilcox has been in the league for 7 years, his best season being the 06-07 season where he averaged 14 ppg and 8 rpg.  If we can get anything close to that, we are absolutely in luck.

I'll be blown away if he averages 14 and 8. I understand the Pistons needed some frontcourt depth, and I can't really criticize it too much, there isn't a lot of low post players in free agency. but I just can't say I expect much out of him.

then again, with Villanueva and Gordon, there will be a lot of missed jumpshots to rebound.
