Serie A i see inter winning.....Bayern should bounce back and win the bundesliga though i think wolfsburg is still dangerous......i was a fan of ligue 1 and a fan of Marseille when they had lorik cana (im Albanian thats why I love him) but dont care as much, but they made alot of great signings and they should win the ligue 1

did gorcruff go to AC Milan yet?Huh or does Bordeuax still have him??

Bordeux bought him. He had pretty small buying clause and they used it.

The big problem with Man U is that except for Rooney they don't have any finishers on the team. For Man U to win the Premier League again it might not be fair because of how young he is but Nani has to start playing like a star.

Berba can also score. Owen also can, but he is wasting a lot situations. He needs to remind himself few things from how he played in Liverpool.

I agree with Nani. He's a pretty similair type of player to Ronaldo. He should take Ronaldo's role in the team. His goal with Chelsea in the Community Shield let me hope, that he'll have a great season.

ver nice thread!

i will go through all 4 top leagues (including bundesliga - the league i know best)

premiership:

the race is wide open. arsenal started impressive. i watched a bit of manu-arsenal and i liked arsenal better. manus win wasnt without luck. i think chelsea is the heavy favorite. they have an incredible team. liverpool lost xavbi alonso and didnt sign any spectacular player. benitez is a really good coach, but i don't see them higher than 3. arsenal lacks a striker. carlos eduardo is good, but not good enough to shoot them to titler. tottenham and mancity have good chances to get into the big 4. especially mancity.

quick note to manu: i like nani very much and think he will be world-class player in a few years. but if the next season depends on him, i think manu wont win titles.

prediction
1. chelsea - 2. manu - 3. mancity - 4. arsenal - 5. liverpool - 6. tottenham

serie a
i see only inter or juve as favourites. milan lacks youth and defense and a world class striker. i still like pirlo, seedorf, pato and ronaldinho in good form. but that wont be enough to get into the top 2 this year. juve made good transfers with felipe melo and diego. both are really strong. i saw diego about 10-15 times live in bremen, he is an incredible player. the will finish second.
the unofficial winner of the summer in transfers was definitely inter. etoo, snejder, lucio for combined 25 mio. thats incredible. motta and milito are also very good players. i see them winning the league with a 10 point differential.

prediction
1. inter - 2. juve - 3. milan 4. roma

bundesliga
before bayern munich signed robben they surely wouldnt have finished in the top 3. but tzhe bundesliga isnt that strong. one player can make the difference. robben is clearly the best player now in the german league. wolfsburg has a nice team and will finish in the top 3, hamburg also has a very good team. bremen will be close. after that comes a group of dortmund, stuttgart and hoffenheim. schlake and leverkusen still need time.

prediction
1. bayern - 2. hamburg - 3. wolfsburg - 4. bremen - 5. dortmund - 6. hoffenheim - 7. stuttgart - 8. schalke - 9. leverkusen

la liga
madrid and barca started both with expected wins. i hope and think (Wink) that ronaldoo wont fit in madrid. i think kaka is better than him. xabi alsonso was a nice addition also, so was benzema. both are very good players. but the best player of real right now is lassana diarra. he was the best player in the preseason and in the first game. i think the weak-point of madrid is the defensive middlefield. you could see that against la coruna.
barca switched etoo and a ton of money for ibrahimovic. will be interesting how good ibrahimovic will be in the barca-system that favoures heavily strikers. i think he could be better than etoo. but til now he has just shown flashes of his brillance, barca has the disadvantage of much more games in the next months than madrid. the fifa-team-world-cup always costs much energy. the advantage that barca has, is the youth. the "cantera" (youth-teams) of barca are incredible. barca could easily play with 11 players from their youth and still would compete for the 2nd place. (valdes - muniesa, pique, fontias, puyol - busquets, xavi, iniesta - messi, bojan, pedro).

predictions
i do my predictions assuming everbody stays healthy. one bigger injury to xavi, iniesta, messi, ibrahimovic, kaka, xabi alonso, ronaldo or pepe could change everything. madrid and barca are veryy close. but i think the advantage of knowing the system and each other on the pitch favours barca.

1. barca - 2. madrid - 3. sevilla - 4. atletico - 5.villareal - 6. valencia

champions league:
if thats happen, i will be celebrating for weeks or months Wink :
barca over madrid in bernabeau to become the first team to defend the champions-league -title.
semi-finalists: chelsea, inter

Are you guys going to watch any games today? Anything fascinating? I'm looking forward for Poland - North. Ireland, Czech Rep. - Slovakia (because this game is very important for my team - Poland) and I would love to watch Argentina - Brazil. Tevez and Messi boasted that they will smash Brazil. Going to be pretty interesting game

- Jozy Altidore has been sick for Hull City so far.
- Manchester United while they scared everyone early on they are still elite.
-But even with Man U turining it on Chelsea is my pick in the Premier League

he played good for 10minutes as a sub, he cant control the ball and he isnt good in the air. He isnt great

also brasil will beat argentina because maradona dosent have a clue how to pick a team or a formation. How they play under fattadona they could actually miss the world cup.

Don't be defending Michael Owen, the big donkey dong that he is!!!

Haven't watched a lot of soccer (football - jeez) outside of my own country this season - yet. Chelsea will run away with the Premier League, perhaps followed by Spurs. Man United aren't as good as they were last year and I think they'll just slip up, as will Liverpool - both losing the cogs to their midfield - neither knows what to do.

But all of the action is in the Championship division (the second division - whatever) in England ... Newcastle United - top of the league .... promotion here we come!!! Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Teams that already qualified for World Cup:

~Europe:
Netherlands, England, Spain

~South America:
Brasil

~Africa:
South Africa, Ghana

~Asia:
Japan, North Korea, South Korea, Australia (Australia is playing with Asian teams)

No surprises so far. But they may come soon. Switzerland (over Greece), Denmark (over Sweden and Portugal), Slovakia (over Czech Rep and Poland) - that's how it look now. Portugal will have big problems with qualifying. Poland already destroyed chances for an advance (sad as hell). Czech may destroy them soon... Have I missed anything else?

You forgot Russia, they are only one point behind Germany for first place and will face each other in Russia next month.

That's not a very big surprise. At least not for me. Germany are 4th in Fifa rankings and Russia is just behind them.

Group phase of Champions League is starting today. However there aren't any big games. I think I'm gonna watch Manchester with Besiktas... Can't wait for tomorrow's Inter-Barcelona
