Cuban's not afraid to make big moves and Carlisle has coached Stephen Jackson

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=yzpsbkh

Something like that? Jackson's value isn't better than that right now.

Carroll has a frontloaded contract. Warriors can waive Mikki Moore and Shawne Williams to get to 15 players.

Jason Kidd/Jason Terry/Jose Juan Barea
Stephen Jackson/Jason Terry
Josh Howard/Shawn Marion
Drew Gooden/Shawn Marion
Dirk Nowitzki/Erick Dampier

Dallas has been high on this french kid, so i dont see them giving him up, and i dont really see GS wanting him since they already have a few undersized SG's

Does Dallas even want or need Jackson?  They already have Josh Howard starting at the 2, Shawn Marion starting at the 3, Jason Terry for bench scoring, Nowitzki for go to scoring, and Kidd for playmaking.

Sure, Jackson will make Dallas better, but I believe the improvement will be so marginal, it won't be worth having all that distraction and drama he brings.

Dallas pulls the trigger on this trade before the trade deadline if...

1) Josh Howard doesn't work at the 2.

b) Shawn Marion doesn't work at the 3.

elephant) injuries.

They wouldn't.  At first I thought Dampier was an expiring contract.  WRONG!!!  He's owed a cool $13 mil in guarenteed money in 2010/11.

No deal. Carroll's contract runs 4 years and 16 million.

wow, which Einstein gave Matt Carroll a 4 year, $16 million contract with a 4th year player option?  Who was Carroll blowing to get THAT contract?

just remembered that Dallas traded for him, so the Einstein that gave Carroll all that guarenteed money was the same guy who drafted Kwame Brown with the #1 pick.  None other than Jordan.

Yeah Jordan said he'd take care of Carrol. Glad the Bobcats got his salary off their books.

Dampier's deal includes a non-guaranteed team option for 2010-11.

Also, Golden State is going to want an expiring deal in return for Jackson. It makes it difficult for Denver to work a deal without bringing a third team into the mix, though they probably need to add another impact player to be considered a contender in the West. Cleveland has the Big Z deal, but they probably don't want to move him less they get burned should Shaq get hurt. Delonte West is probably toxic at this point, so the fact that his deal has a team option for next year probably doesn't mean much. Dallas says they aren't interested, but Drew Gooden makes the most sense as his deal is only partially guaranteed. He could be packaged with Shawne Williams. I also like the idea of San Antonio getting into the mix. They could afford to move Bonner and Mason Jr and probably would want to throw in Mahinmi to save a little tax this year given that they will absorb so much in future salary.
