After watching Eddie Jordan coach the Wizards for the past 5 years I have concluded that he is probably one of the best "players' coaches" in the league, and one of the most likeable people.  However, he also might be the worst tactical coach in the history of the league.  I like Eddie.  I admire his positive attitude.  I like the way he tries to get everyone involved.  However...
I have watched him frequently lose close games because he doesn't seem to know how to play the end of the game, or even when to intentionally foul!  Tonight's game is the 3rd example of the Wiz being ahead by 3 and the opposition having the ball with several seconds to play.  Eddie Curry is one of the leagues worst foul shooters.  If you can, FOUL HIM.  Otherwise, foul any of them.  Even if they make 2, we have the ball and some time has gone off the clock AND WE STILL HAVE A LEAD.  Where is Eddie's tactical leadership?  Where are his assistant coaches?  Tonight, as much as I like him, I would have fired Eddie before he even got off the court.

Sounds very similar to many comments that have been said about Sam Mitchell in recent years.
