CHI's gonna regret it.  You don't give up a guy who is  a 7'3" rebounder and shotblocker who is not even near his prime for salary cap space and a guy who will never see daylight for playing time on a roster filled with guards.

They already had problems with their interior scoring. Now they will not have any interior defence.  Good Job John.

What are you talking about? Didn't the Bulls just add some good defender, can't seem to think of his name...

Everything in Bulls town seem to be going well. The Bulls are really giving Heats a compeitition next season. Aquiring 4 time defensive star Ben Wallace will take care of trouble down low. Which will allow both Ben Gordon and Kirk to work there game outside. And landing J.R Smith..Bull's fans you won't be bored.  Cheesy

I doubt you'll find many Chicago fans missing Tyson.  He's a good example of a guy who could've used at least a couple years of college to get his basketball IQ up there.  Same with Curry.  These are guys that got by in high school on their athleticism and couldn't adapt to the X's and O's that the NBA requires.

I liked Tyson two years ago - good rebounding and shot blocking.  This past year (after he got his big deal I may add) he simply didn't show up and was just so foul prone he couldn't stay on the court to even provide any value.  Not sure if it was his back acting up or not but he didn't live up to the deal he got.  AT ALL.  And his hands certainly weren't going to get any bigger.  It got to the point where the guards wouldn't even look for him on the break for fear the ball would AGAIN bounce right off his hands.  It got old real quick.

If you look at the whole deal as getting PJ, JR, and Wallace for Tyson, I think I'd do that deal any day of the week.  I wanted both Curry and Tyson to work out as well.  It was a flop.  Let's turn the page and move on.  All ties to Krause are now gone - it's all Pax's guys now and he's hinted that he's not done dealing.  I'm looking forward to his next move.

C'mon...drink the Pax kool-aid !

ps Tyson is 7'1".  Was 7' when they drafted him and he grew an inch since.  I wish his hands grew as well - could've helped.

What I dont understand is that everyone now says the scouting of Tyson and Eddy was horrible....but if you go back and look at the draft....( google search on 2001 NBA draft grades ) ...youll see experts saying Tyson and Eddy were great picks and the trade of Elton Brand was a masterpiece....

so how could the scouting have been that bad for these two....

its a good thing the NBA now has the age limit and forces these high school kids into college....

Well, it's an inexact science to be sure.  Krause's thinking was Brand and Curry couldn't co-exist as back to the basket-type players.  I recall it was a popular thought that Brand was about as good he was going to get.  He was a known quantity without a high ceiling.  A solid player - certainly - but no all-star.  Little did Krause know, eh?  Sooooo....he traded Brand for Tyson with the thinking that he could develop a jump shot and become a superstar.  We know how the rest of the story goes.

I'm not sure about the trade being highly lauded - reviews were mixed as I recall.  It was risky and it blew up in the Bulls face.  As did the Artest/Miller deals.  Ouch!  That was the beginning of the end for "Crumbs".  How good would a lineup with Ron Artest, Elton Brand, and Brad Miller have looked had Krause been patient?

Who agreed with trading Brand for Chandler?  I don't remember anyone thinking that was a great deal.  It was stupidass.

No interior defense? Allow me to introduce to you 4 time defensive player of the year....Ben Wallace!

You mean, 32 year old Ben Wallace.  Can't play offense Ben Wallace.  Hits 40% lifetime from the free throw line.  Is getting fifteen freaking million dollars every season for the next four years to improve a defense that was already really good.

We needed help on offense.  I know there was no one else to spend the money on, but $15 million?  What, was Chandler that hopeless?

Ben Wallace can play better D at 50 years old than Chandler at any age! Chandler's is not hopeless, but he is certainly clueless in either side of the court.

Height does not make you a better player instantly, basketball should be played with brain.

I also dunno why you bringing out big ben's free throw numbers when you talk about D :?:
Nuff Said. Thanks for catching that one pittsburger.

Name one way JR Smith is like Mike besides his height and athletecism.  Jordan had a great work ethic, passion, and played D (and by the way, scored 30+ ppg his first couple years.  Smith has none of that.  Gordon's nack for hitting clutch game winning shots in the 4th quarter makes him a better comparison.  Plus his name rhymes.  Case closed.
