Calderon and Bosh for Paul.

Not with the way Bosh has been playing this season.   Cool

Portland, they have a lot of young talent to give up and can give andre miller in the deal to replace CP, his contract is reasonable
Miller + bayless + rudy maybe?  Maybe toss in a pick or some filler.  I don't see CP3 moving tho.  You don't trade away a 24 year old superstar.  He is one of a handful of guys you can legitimately build a championship around.  Move anyone but him and keep him happy.

K.P. should throw his soul in on that deal if that is what it takes.

but i really dont see him getting traded at all i mean if the NO general manger wants to lose his job  its a great idea Roll Eyes

that's going to be pretty hard to do with the realities in New Orleans right now.  The team wants to stay under the luxury cap.  they have two contracts that are basically unmovable, unless they take on other teams toxic assets, which doesn't help the team improve.

basically, when a team tries to improve their talent base, the best way to do that without giving away too much is by saving other teams money.  New Orleans can't do that.  They have to basically offer talent value for talent value to anyone they trade with.

Huh?? why not that would make BG amazing on the offensive end now paul would be overworked cause he would have to guard the best back court player every night and run the offense but he would love to have a spot up shooter like BG on his wing.

ok, but what about the other end?  you know you have to play some defense right?  everywhere ben gordon goes he poses the problem... how do we make up for his size and who does he guard?  you win championships on the defensive end.

I don't think Portland is an option.  Both Roy and CP3 need the ball way to much.  They'll have the same problem as they do now with Miller.

No there is a mjor difference between a 34 year old Miller and CP3 in his prime. Miller is a solid guard in the right situation Paul is one of the best point guards ever. Paul does not dominate the ball because he needs he dominates the ball because he has to. When watching the Hornets play last night I never once said to myself gee Mo Pete and Peja should be given more opportunities to go off the driblle. Paul and Roy are two top 10 player and are two of the headiest players in the league they would figure it out together and I think they would win multiple championships if Paul was on the Blazers.

you could probably work around Ben Gordon's shortcomings with the right team...which is not Detroit right now.  Old man Ben Wallace looks like a revelation next to Kwame, ferchrissakes.

they've also become two pretty strong jump shooters, so it's not like they couldn't just alternate who brought the ball up each turn, or adapt to whichever area having a strong ballhandler made the other team easier to attack.

Calderon and Bosh for Paul.

Toronto without Calderon and Bosh is way worse than NO is now.

This is where a certain poster is supposed to chime in and say :yeah but it's the east, you could put Paul out there with Kobe's shoes playing the 4 and 5 and two kids with leg braces playing the 2 and the 3 and still get 26 wins and 6th seed.

I dunno about that, the trade offer was a joke though, and NO would obviously have to move West if they did that. But I think your exaggerating with the way worse thing, I mean Toronto actually has a legit starting wing player.

If they want to start rebuilding Miami has the most expirings in 2010, and we have 2 first rounders... Maybe a deal can be struck there, Dwade says he wants an elite PG so that wont be a problem (we tried going after Kidd in the offseason)
