That's exactly what I'm saying. All the other powerful teams have just as many question marks as the Devils do.

Washington is the highest powered offense in the league, but goaltending? Who gets the start come playoff time? Theodore, who is so-so, or Varlamov, who's been on the injured reserve for about 2 months and is just starting to come back? Michael Neuvirth, the rookie?

Chicago suffers the same fate. Amazing offense, good defense, the goaltending has held it's own this year especially with Niemi stepping up but come playoff time, is it enough?

Pittsburgh, San Jose, Vancouver, and New Jersey all have legitimate goaltening to go with there high powered scorers. I'll count Vancouver out, because they don't have a lot of depth and are a bad road team, and like I said I'm not feeling the same "we are the best" vibe from Pittsburgh this year, and San Jose is a historic joke come the playoffs. Of course, having Heatley in the mix this year could be the answer, but so could adding Kovalchuk to a team that already has a 90+ point scorer in Parise and has the best goalie of all time backing them up.

Blackhawks goaltenders are so frustrating to watch. They're great on some nights, even amazing occasionally, then they'll have a 4 game stretch of goaltending worse than a ghost.

Satan's got a unibrow... (Cheap Seats reference)

Anyway, can I complain more about the goaltending on the Blackhawks?

It was a terrible performance yesterday, they had the game more than in the bag and then bam, it's over. They'll really need some more consistency there if they're going to make another serious playoff run.

Huet's out for tomorrow, if either team gets a big lead we could see Crawford get some time. Niemi is someone that I'm still hopeful for, but he needs some time. It's strange to see a team that used to have both Ed Belfour and Dominik Hasek having such goaltending problems.

Washington doesn't have the greatest goal tending either it could prove to be problematic. I wanna see the Blackhawks make it though, that is how you build a team, out of the draft with great young talent. The Leafs brass could learn a bit, vs trading away #1 or #2 overall picks for decent players.

So its kind of died down since he was handed the 2-game suspension.  But was Ovechkin's hit on Brian Campbell a dirty play or was it clean?

I thought it was a clean hit, it's too bad it was so close to the boards and he collided with then in the manner he did. Beyond that, it's golden.

I may be a bit biased, but I thought it was a bit of a dirty hit, not a seriously dirty hit, but given the distance from the boards and how his left hand looked like it might have directed Campbell straight at the boards, it was penalty worthy, but not suspension worthy. The one from tonight (forget who it was on) was much more dirty.
