What are the chances? What do we have to give up?

I'd throw in Prince, Rip and Kwame Brown as long as we can sign him long term

I doubt it. Dumars will make an offer, I'm sure. but I don't believe it will be enough to pry Amare from the Suns. especially as Dumars should be hesitant to include any 1st round picks at this point.

additionally, Amare would probably go and sign a near-max contract with a better team in the offseason.

I'd do that deal. obviously the numbers don't match.  Grin

Yeah I think a more realistic offer would be

Stuckey, Daye, Prince, Maxiell, Draft pick. I'm sure they could get a better offer from another team though.

ESPN NBA Rumors latest shows a three-team deal

Detroit Receives:
Amare Stoudemire

Phoenix Receives:
Andre Iguodala
Chris Wilcox

Philadelphia Receives:
Ben Gordon

Doesn't sound too bad....Pistons shed unnecessary depth at SG and find a big man, the only remaining question would be how long Amare would be a Piston?

that potential trade makes little sense for the 76ers. they would have 3 similar players in Gordon, AI and Williams. with no expiring contracts or picks to Iggy. as a Pistons fan, it's a sound deal. too bad it didn't materialize.

I'm completely down for Detroit to trading a couple future firsts (not this year obvi) if we could get Amare to sign a long term deal.

except he is going to NY.. he wants to win not be part of a rebuilding process, I think the pistons would have to sign another major piece (allstar calliber player) kind of like what the celtics did to get KG..

amare is not the answer and he will be overpaid for what he does espically when the pistons have no real pg. Unless its amare plus some young player for gordan and charlie v
