Canada grabbing a medal yesterday, only silver, but I'm happy no less.

As for hockey, the American team can really pull some upsets this year because they are deep, but they don't have the outright star power to win it all I don't think.

R.I.P.

real sad story

as for the winter Olympics they usually suck, should be interesting to see the competition Canada gets in Hockey, i can see Russia putting up a fight but I see Canada winning in the end

Hey Carson, would you like to let him know who won the World Juniors this year?

What's the point? Most Yanks don't even know the tournament exists.  Tongue

8 medals for Canada. A bit dissapointing but I think there will be more to come especially in hockey.

Curling as well for Canada.  Also tonight we have some medal hopefuls in some speed skating events I believe.  Canada still has a few more to go.

Definitely, definitely. I just don't see us catching the Americans which makes me mad, because I HATE losing to America..grrr...but as long as we beat 'em in hockey, I'll be OK.

Considering Canada was lucky to win the other night, how can you be so sure?

Lucky? Thats some bs. the game was closer than most expected but they showed who had the better team come the shootout. Also you can't even act like the USA/Swiss game wasn't close, the score was 3-1, lol. Anyways, Canada will win tomorrow. BOOK IT, biatch.

wow, an impressive win for USA today, what the hell was Marty Brodeur doing? he was responsible for at least one, possibly two goals...If Im counting it right Canada will face Russia in quaterfinals, thats going to be epic game, I have no idea who is going to win. Russians have beaten czechs earlier but didnt look that impressive and the game could have gone either way. (Ovechkins hit on Jagr was epic, but the czechs goal that was waved off was the real gamechanger). Anyway, either Canada or Russians will end up empty handed, so much for finals game for the ages. And Patrick Kane is simply sick, the best stickhandler in the world right now (and only datsyuk and hemsky are close to him).

Wow. I am eating my words. just wow...

Brodeur played foolishly. He never plays like that ever, trying to pokecheck and do weird isht, but all the sudden today he plays like some kind of idiot. Chris Pronger is horrible, *** that guy, please Babcok don't play him next game, he's played shitty all tournament, the only good line is the 4th line with Richards and Toews. Canada ran the play most of the 2nd but they couldn't the puck in the net, combination of terrible powerplays and excellent goaltending by Miller.

that being said, I think that Canada getting to play another game is a good thing for them, this team needs to work there sh*t out, and they are facing Germany so unless they pull another Swiss type effort, they should be facing Russia in the QF, which scares the hell out of me...fml.

It was writtin in the stars.
Ovechkin VS Crosby olympics.

Sad day in Vancouver, I was downtown watching the game on the sears building with another 1000+ people.. Several rounds of Oh Canada were still drunkinly sung but it wasn't the same..
Least we grabbed another Silver Medal today.
