Not that, McClain looking better than Cushing.

jury's still out on that.  gotta see what Cushing looks like without the performance enhancers.  but yeh, McClain's not suspended for the first 4 weeks or on performance enhancers, so he's a good look while Cushing is explaining himself to Texan fans.
I will say this, I know its kind of a bold statement, but McClain will be a top 3 middle linebacker in 2 years.  We've seen the impact that other SEC linebackers like Jerod Mayo, Patrick Willis, and Demeco Ryans have made from their first snap in the league.  McClain is better than all of those guys at this point, he's physically imposing for am middle linebacker (6'4" 250 lbs) like a Brian Urlacher, has incredible instincts, comes from an NFL system run at Alabama, and from what I've read is Ray Lewis-like in his dedication to the film room and workout habits.

Yeh, McClain was the only defensive player left when the #8 pick rolled around that I thought would help the Raiders immediately because dude eats, drinks, and breathes football.  Rolo's dedication to the game/film study/work ethic is the cherry on top of his physical talent.  Kirk Morrison was pretty good as a leader, but he just wasn't a true MLB in size or playing style.

The moves that Al Davis has been making here recently are Bill Parcells type moves... the front 7 of the Raider defense is so much bigger now.  Out are smaller linebackers like Morrison and Howard and in are Wimbley, McClain, and Trevor Scott... all of them over 6'4'' 250lbs.  Al Davis once mentored Bill Parcells... looks like Al is finally gonna do it someone else's way for once.  I just hope Davis can keep building using Parcell's modern blueprint... maybe Al can build a team that would entice Parcells to run the Raider organization as soon as Parcell's contract runs it's course in Miami.  Al Davis can't run things forever... he's got about another 5 years if that I'd say.  Even trading for a non-celebrity QB like Jason Campbell is a Parcell's move... especially when you're reminded that Davis passed on celebrity QB's in McNabb and Big Ben.

i just dont know how you can do thomas howard like that... a good guy in the community, a returning starter, and just remember they were ready to toss huff out too last year and he came and had his break out year...
they say this guy is soft against the run, but its hard to be good against the run when the other 6 members of the front 7 are soft.. this guy has explosiveness and speed that you can't teach, if they are trying to go to a hybrid d, howard is the guy that we need, hes like a young joey porter.... im telling you, in the amount of man coverage that we run groves, and scott are gonna get DUSTED.. tightends always seem to play good against us and i could only imagine now...

Is it me, or the more mediocre of an athlete you are, the hotter your wife/girlfriend gets?

30 for 30 was nice.  Cube did a great job.  He even got Al to come out and say that " if L.A. finally builds a stadium the door is open to a Raider return ".  Hate to jack you for the Raiders again, Trey, but they're our Raiders too. lol
