Damn, why did we trade Roy ??
I'm sad, Roy is a star in Portland, he is the kind of player we need!

i think they traded him because they thought foye could be a better player in the longrun but at the moment roye is like a poorer wade and foye is a good player but very inconsistant

A lot of experts thought that Roy would be the most NBA-ready guy in the draft so it's not like his success is a surprise. It's just another bad move by McHale.

It all makes me wonder how big the cash inducement involved in the Roy/Foye trade was. Where exactly does that money go? Straight into the team coffers? I assume it has no impact on the salary cap...

I think that this is actually a pretty even trade. When MN was "tanking it" at the end of the season, Randy Foye played pretty well. He got a chance to lead the team and did a pretty good job considering who was out there with him. Portland wasnt expected to do much this year so Brandon Roy had much more of an opportunity to put up better numbers. Foye reminds me alot of Chauncy Billups and I think that he will eventually be the better NBA player.

Well the T'Wolves need right now in KG's case. He doesn't have much longer before he starts to decline and I would be very dissapointed if he didn't get a title. Not with Minny of course but with anyone.

If Foye was on a team with almost no other offensive options he would have had the same year Roy had.
the ROY award usually has a lot to do with the team the player gets drafted to... moreso than the player's worth.

McHale has to go to jail for robbing KG of his career. The guy has done nothing but waste KG's talent by surrounding him with garbage.
