So i do a lot of posting on the ChicagoTribune website as well....and one of the guys that also post pretty often said that he was listening to Will Purdue on his radio station Westwood 1 or something like that.....and i guess Purdue talked about the Bulls already having discussions about possibly bringing back Pippen. As one of the assistant coaches to whomever gets the job. If this is true, and we did do this....i think it would be a EXCELLENT hire. Pip could help almost every player on this team. Rose,Deng,James Johnson,Noah,Taj etc......if we do actually sign LeBron...i think LeBron would even listen to him. Pip gets a ton of respect and i think he would be a great addition. Another reason why i think this might be true or make sense is because Thibideau....if hired, would need a coaching staff. Boston most likely will probably keep theirs in tact besides Thib....so who knows. Thoughts about Pip possibly becoming a assistant coach for us!?!?!

i think scottie needs to kind of get over himself and his accomplishments a bit before he can be a successful coach but maybe that will/has happened.  few people know as much about basketball and hopefully he could help some of our younger perimeter guys develop, plus maybe it would impress d-wade.

I've said for years Pip should get into coaching. He was the coach on the floor during the dynasty. I believed he'd be an outstanding hire.

Yeah, I agree, Pippen was a true student of the game who can really give a lot as an assistant coach. I'm all for him being an assistant coach here.

Ya and like i said...if Thibodeau is hired....Pippen could be one of his assistant since Thib would probably need a staff. Plus, hiring Pippen would probably give us some bonus points in free agency.

I agree all around there, Pippen also would fit very well with Thibodeau, and I couldn't agree more with the last sentence.

Yeah, at least at the current time he's not a head coach, but who knows, maybe he can get there with 5-10 years of assistant experience.

Yep +2

An like me and Mild were agreeing on....it could only help us out in Free Agency. First we hire say...Thibodeau...then a couple weeks later, hire Pippen. Media will jump all over it and the Bulls name will stay fresh as we move farther into this month. We have to keep LeBron thinking about Chicago.

Chitown, thank you for shortening your sig., it looks good.
I agree Pippen might be a good assit coach, but first we need to hire a head coach. I still hope it is Thibodeau, then we can to ask him if he is OK with Pippen, as the two of them will have to work together.

Going along with the whole free agency thing, Pippen's one of the best small forwards to ever play the game, and if I'm not mistaken, one of the better free agents is also a small forward. That could help to lure him here, having a coach who was a hall of fame player at his position.
