Monroe will start, I don't see how he couldn't. He's big enough to play both positions.

That would be if Rip is traded right? Cause I feel like they would start Rip over Ben for this season at least.
I hope Monroe starts, he's already probably better then CV's weak ***.

Detroit be thankful you didn't get Cousins.  Do the names Melvin Turpin and Derrick Coleman ring a bell?  Monroe is a fantastic player, one of only 4-5 guys I thought were worth a dump in the first round (not that I'm a genius, just liked 4-5 players).  However, he's a 4, not a 5.  Please don't start him at 5 and stunt a very promising career!

nice post, MV3. I think Monroe will excel at the 4 spot. A front line of Prince, Monroe and Wallace sounds really promising.

Absolutely love this pick.  On the cover, it seems to solve all our issues, and if he matures into the player everyone thinks he can become, the Pistons will once again be a legitimate contender in this league.

Let me say first, not a Pistons fan.  However, I really believe this kid is a more athletic, and taller, Kevin Love.  Not a teams first option, but one hell of a 2nd or 3rd option that brings a high IQ and much more than just scoring to the table.  Kinda hate you guys for getting him.   Angry

Same man. When I heard the Stern say, "The Clippers select, Ekpe Udoh" I literally fell to the ground in disbelief/shock/drunkeness. Lucky #7 after all. I can't wait to see him in the Palace.

Flew under the radar in college. Supposedly is one heck of a scorer. They claim he was the most athletic guard in the combine in terms of vertical and 40 time.
