Boozer is better than Amare though. Amare is a horrible defender and his numbers were hugely inflated by the sytem he was in and playing along side Steve Nash. Bosh again is questionable and it can be argued for either Bosh or Boozer as to whos the better player.

He isn't even top 7 or 8 in his position Kevin Garnett, Amare Stoudemire, Lamarcus Aldridge.
LOL What does arguably mean? Does it mean that you've just miss quoted me? But I'm fine with Amare and KG being better then Boozer. First quote was from the original post, not you. I just got lazy there to quote and erase rest of his post And the "LOL" was at him. Forgot to make comment on yours. Sorry about that. I think that you are definitely right about Gasol, Duncan, Bosh and Smith being better than him. The rest.. I don't think so. KG => Age, injuries, decline etc. I think this one's pretty obvious. Aldridge => Lack of rebounding, lack of toughness, lack of scoring, more face-up type of player. Beats only at the size. Amar'e => Now this pretty much depends on a teams needs & style. For run & gun, Amar'e is the ideal but how many teams are out there playing that? Boozer's post game is much better and reliable whereas Amare's mostly depends on his athleticism and will probably won't be the same 2 years later. Not to mention Boozer is by far the better rebounder. And sure, Amare had his moments at playoffs but overall both were worse than regular season. Although Amare's explosiveness might come in handy sometimes, I'm taking the safe bet.

I said it since the beginning. If the Bulls couldn't get Lebron James, i'd much rather go after a Carlos Boozer, for less than the Max, than take Bosh for the max. I liked it mainly because we needed the extra cap to sign SG's. But it think Boozer is close enough to the best, where i would probably take him for less money than pay Bosh more money.

get real, amare was putting up 20+ before nash got there and will do it without him. boozer is the better defender and rebounder so it's kind of a wash between them, but amare is the better offensive player for sure.

The thing is that Amare is a better offensive player, but it's not by a whole lot at all. People also forget that Boozer is easily the better passer between the two. That was one of the reasons he worked so well with Williams and guys like that, he'd get the ball in the post and just have to kick it out to Williams or Korver and was able to help create offense for them. Amare's always been known as someone who has trouble passing the ball.

Gar/pax took a gamble on lebron, and the rest of the '10 fa class, and lost. Boozer was the best guy in free agency who was left over, and we got him. He's better than walking away with nothing.

I really like Boozer...couple things that stick out to me are he has plenty of playoff experience, hes been there done that. His passes ability is really really good for a bigman, hes tough, rebounds very well for his size, an the Bulls finally have a guy that can score easy buckets for us. He also has played with another great pg in Dwill...so hopefully that helps him work with Rose.

The bulls organization is basically saying we addressed our major needs. Which they did. A low post player and a scorer. But we gained one thing, and sacrificed another. Our biggest strength last season was defense, and we gave it up for offense. We still have terrific defenders, noah/deng, and boozer is a body. Our big men are out right perfect right now. But the bulls keep lop siding things. Gar is afraid of saying that, we should have held onto hinrich, or signed salmons. If we have either of them, + our draft pick, I'd give our off season a C+. I'd have a lot more respect for him if he said, we took a gamble on gaining a lebron james or a joe johnson, and we can live with that decision. But now he's just being dishonest and trying to justify why getting rid of salmons/hinrch/1st round draft pick was a good thing. It's not, we lost out on our risk.

@ BULLSFAN that's been my point with the organization for a few yrs now we've made ?,nable desicions. This team should be much deeper,we dont know how to draft.JAMES JOHNSON might turn out to be a good player but we needed a Chase Budinnger type last yr ,they cleaned their mistake up with picking TAJ & him having a good yr,but not the overall best draft we could have had. we have no s.g. on the roster after having at least 3 within the last 5yrs that averaged at least 15pts.thats a need we shouldn't have 2 fill now IMO.

Watch him struggle to average 20+ next season. He'll be lucky if he can get that w/ the team he's playing on. Boozer averaged nearly 20 pnts. last season while playing w/ an out of shape, often injured PG. Watch his numbers get even better now that he is on a better team. Boozer is easily the overall better player when compared w/ Amare. Amare is slighty better than Boozer on offense, but again, thats questionable w/ Nash helping him the last few years. We'll see how good he really is w/out Nash. Boozer is a good defender, which means he is great compared to Amare, and is a rebounding machine.

Dudes the OP is trolling now.
Seriously though, the Bulls, if healthy, can be the 4th seed in the east, possibly even third is Howard continues w/ his constant foul trouble and the Magic faulter.
