Seriously. Detroit isn't about to compete for a championship in the next two years. Why not spend it on Shaq? He'll be an entertaining character, and help fill some seats. He could also be a potential mentor for Greg Monroe.

Give him the full MLE for two years. Why not? Detroit's just sitting on it's hands anyways.

He won't accept (not that I even want him on our team).  He doesn't want the MLE, which means we'll have to do a sign and trade.  Supposedly, he'd sign with the Hawks if they could offer him more than the MLE (which they can't do).

I'd be fine with Shaq actually. We're obviously not in the position to be turning down any serviceable big men.

But realistically I think Joe D is saving his MLE for next year, and saving Prince and Hamilton for the dealine (their values will be much greater then).

Yeah, you should so that Monroe can't develop into a solid player..

ARE YOU SERIOUS!! The guy basically disrupts offense and can't run back to defense for any team he plays in the last 2-3 years. This would basically destroy any chance that Pistons have at a playoff seed.

If he tried to mean a period of time; '07-'08 but that wasn't for long so shouldn't count. Though, Shaq always played with good playmakers and passers throughout his career. Penny, Kobe, Wade, Nash, LeBron etc.

He's saying it as if Shaq needs a great PG to be effective though. When Shaq was playing with those guys it wasn't like anyone was being real creative to make him effective, you just throw him the ball and get out of the way.

Sure, you're right on that one. It's not like Shaq can't create his own dunk Smiley

Shaq's washed. Jesus could be his pg and he'd still suck.
