They might not have the best team roster on paper but the Washington Wizards lead by its sensational rookie point-guard John Wall is ready to compete big in the next season of the National Basketball Association. In the summer league debut of Wall, the former starting point-guard of Kentucky University the rookie had a superb game as he scored 24 points and dished out eight assists to carry the Wizards to a an 84-79 victory over the Golden State Warriors.

Despite having eight turnovers in the game, Wizards coach Flip Saunders still praised performance of Wall saying he had shown tremendous maturity and talent  in the game. Saunders said Wall showed in his first game as a professional basketball player that he cannot only score but also make his teammates look good. Wall for his part is very happy with his successful first game. The young point-guard said he had practice hard to perform well for the team in the NBA Summer league.

The 6-foot-4, 195-pound Wall revealed he will do his best to make the Wizards succeed in the next NBA season. The coach of the Wizards revealed he is excited for the Wizards in the next season of the premier professional basketball league in the planet with Wall manning the point for the team. He said Wall is great but he had a lot of room to improve to become one of the top point-guards in the NBA. Saunders said the team will play hard to ensure the NBA franchise will be successful in the face of the tough competition in the NBA.

The coach said Wall and NBA superstar Gilbert Arenas will carry the torch for the team in the next NBA season and confident the duo will combine masterfully to bring wins for the team. Wizards fans this early are looking forward seeing Wall, the top rookie this year play for their favorite NBA team in the next NBA season.
