Quote
Al Horford's agent Arn Tellem and the Atlanta Hawks have begun discussions on a contract extension.

After considering other factors influencing his decision, Horford said he would like to be part of the team's future.

“How do you see yourself with the team?” Horford said. “Do you think the team is going the right way? Obviously, you have to factor in do you like the city you are i? ... All those things favor me because I feel like we are in a good position. We’ve been playing together. This is my fourth year with the team, and I love the city of Atlanta."

i think atlanta should make a decision on whether or not to keep hortford AND j-smooth.
i like both players but they play the same position but bring different things to the table it really depends who they can bring in at C to play next to them.

trade hortford, teague, jordan crawford and marvin for nash, dudley and robin lopez.

C  - Robin Zaza
PF - Smith Powell
SF - Dudley Evans
SG - Johnson Jamal
PG - Nash Bibby

why the hawks do it?  they just gave jj 120 mill and hortford wants the max, might as well go all out and find an elite PG in nash to take them to the next level.  robin is a true center which will mask j-smooths undersized PF but allow him to freelance and utilize his athleticism.  Dudley is an upgrade over marvin, consistent 3pt shooter and gritty defender.

why the suns do it?  lets face it theyre in rebuilding mode.  they get a semi-franchise stud in hortford (give him his extension which the hawks will have a hard time swallowing) and a pg of the future in teague.

C  - Frye
PF - Hortford Warrick
SF - Turkgolu Marvin Hill
SG - Richardson Childress Jordan
PG - Teague Dragic
