The Timberwolves will start rookie Wesley Johnson at shooting guard on Monday in their preseason game against the Lakers.

Minnesota will also start Luke Ridnour, Michael Beasley, Kevin Love and Darko Milicic.

For all those who were wondering about the new SLU.

I still find it weird that it's Beasley and not Brewer starting.

It was Offense vs Defense call. Rambis decided to go with the first one.

But it's not like Ridnour or Johnson are good on defense to make up the match up variance. I just don't understand it, but if the team shoots like they did yesterday all season I will take it.

Maybe because it's the first pre-season game. Wanted to try some of the new guys out first, or tinker with it.

With Flynn out, Ridnour is a no brainer. Though, I thought Brewer would have started over Johnson.
