Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle returned to the bench in the team's preseason loss to the Cavaliers on Monday night.

Carlisle fainted during Friday's practice and didn't join the Mavericks for their trip to Indian Wells, Calif. for a preseason game against the Suns this weekend.

"I was just a little dehydrated and got a little lightheaded," Carlisle said.

"According to a bunch of people who have contacted me the last three days, fainting happens more frequently than you think. Time to move on."
