You know the story you find in the Newspaper, is it related to the story with Phelps?

Yes it is, that wraps up nicely!

No. Although it helps explain it in a bit more depth, but not essential.

LA Noire starts off so well and really flounders in the last third, which ruined the experience for me. I wrote a silly long review for a magazine about it, is online somewhere if anyone is bored enough and wants to know how I felt?
A character is introduced (technically - you'll see what I mean when you get there) very late into the game though and it just kind of destroys Cole as far as sympathy or any of that goes. I really dislike Cole Phelps as a main character.

Still can't get over the animation though, and if you can, Flip, download the DLC cases. They're actually far better than any case you play in the main game.

I'll check that for sure!

Got a free copy of the third Uncharted game so I'm making my way through that when I have the time.  The puzzles seem a little easier than they were in the previous games but the melee combat and weapon variety are better and some of the paths you take while climbing are less obvious.  I'm only around halfway through but so far it's the best game of the series.

I still have an SNES that my roommate and I break out every now and then to play Street Fighter 2 or Mortal Kombat or just to run through Super Mario World.

I'll be curious to see if this steam box ever makes an impact. It sounds like a good idea.

Cool, I used to have two original Nintendo's that I kept forever and I think they may still be at my Dad's house along with a SNES. I know for a fact I still have a Sega Genesis and old (bigger) Game Boy.

I came along at the tail end of the Atari era, I vaguely remember playing pong on there but that is about the only game I remember and I am thinking the only reason I remember it is because of these hand held consoles they advertise now that have like ten or so original Atari games built in them.

Looks more or less the same as the last 3 COD games.

There was an awesome show on TV here in the UK this weekend called 'How Video Games Changed The World.' It was on channel four.

I'm not sure if there's a region restriction on watching via the website for you Yanks and Faux Yanks, but I know it's floating around on Youtube and torrent. I think you'd enjoy it. A friend of mine helped write it, so it's very British as far the humour and speech goes, but it makes some great points.
