The Timberwolves drew the wrong types of headlines on opening night when head coach Kurt Rambis benched forward Kevin Love in the fourth quarter of a tight game against the Kings.

Love was clearly unhappy and it didn't take long for fans to start a "Free Kevin Love" campaign. Love had a rocky relationship with the Wolves last season, too, and this clearly wasn't the way to start off the new season.

However, those who think Love is going to be traded soon are going to be disappointed. Sources say that the Wolves and Love have talked since the game and that going forward, Rambis won't be benching the team's best player in the fourth quarter. While Love clearly could use some work on the defensive end, he's the franchise right now until Ricky Rubio arrives (if he arrives) and the Wolves are going to do more to make sure he's happy.

We'll see what happens when we're blown out by Miami and Orlando but it's nice to hear this from someone outside of the organization.

Relax, this one makes sense. Rest him so that he's fresh for tomorrow night against Orlando...I mean, there's no point in playing him just for the sake of playing him when they're getting blown out by 30 and especially with Beasley likely out.

I think the bigger issue is Ellington's overplaying. The guy, no matter how good of a camp he has, will never be an NBA starter. Webster and Johnson can't get healthy soon enough.

I think they're going to start Johnson after the Orlando game. They talked about it on the broadcast tonight, it might even be online someplace. Ellington needs to say hello to the inactive list. I would even give Hayward some run right now and just see what happens.

I'm sure the fact he's been over 25 minutes once this season and it's the beginning of the season I'm sure he can handle a back-to-back.

Not to be rude, but have you played a back to back NBA game? I don't think it's easy especially when you're on the road.
