Even then, Wiggins doesn't even lead Kansas in scoring.. He just hasn't shown the full repertoire that Parker has. It doesn't really matter what offense your in, he hasn't really been a playmaker nor has he been as aggressive on the glass.  His shooting touch needs some refining while Parker just looks like a pure scorer out there. Not saying Wiggins is bad at all, but it looks like, at least to me, that Wiggins still needs to develop his game some.  Parker and Smart may be the most nba ready lottery picks out there.

You're point?

Because NBA teams definitely draft whoever is most NBA ready over others.

I'd hate to see what happens if you see Parker play then..

I'd take Wiggens over Parker. Cheesy

They do, especially when those NBA ready prospects are putting up superior stats in college.

There's still intangibles, Parker is Beas-Derrick Williams size to where he may not have a position in the NBA, Wiggens is a SF.  Wiggens athleticism is off the charts. Embiid has been only playing basketball for 3 years. Ect ect. Heck, AD, Noel, and Drummond were all pretty raw offensively coming into their drafts. It'd be stupid to draft on NBA readiness and not factor in potential.

I could see that possibly long term but as for this minute I just can't buy that.

I'll admit to not seeing much of either, but what I've seen from Wiggens is that his game is already adapted to the style of the NBA, his athleticism is off the charts crazy, and he's got ungodly potential. Parker is more polished, but I guess we'll see who's right come March. Wink

I missed the word "always" in my post.

I agree with the athleticism part, but i've seen so many athletic freaks amount to nothing because they simply can't develop their skills. Not saying this will be the case for Wiggins, but at 200 pounds, he needs to start bulking up or he'll have no chance of being anything more than a jumpshooter at the next level.

The thing i like most about Jabari Parker is not only is he displaying a tremendous skill set, but he's actually got the size to go with it. He's 6'8 235, similar to Derrick Williams but the biggest difference is Jabari Parker actually has the skillset of a Small Forward while Derrick Williams doesn't.  If Derrick Williams had the shooting touch Parker has, he'd be making the Kings look like geniuses.

at this very moment, I'm taking Smart 1st overall.  I place tons of value on PGs.

Wiggins is looking like an interim project type right now(I stress only currently), like it'll take him a year or two.

The Bulls won't willingly tank for a pick. I went into detail about this in the Deng thread. Yes in a perfect world they would but it ain't happening. There are a lot worse teams in the East than the Bulls w/out Rose.

Best case scenario this year I see is Chicago's offense being so bad that their own pick becomes a late teen pick while Charlotte's pick becomes an early teen pick. I'd rather it become unprotected in a few years but 2014 is a stacked draft so it wouldn't be bad if the Charlotte pick became #11 or #12. As for who they take I went into it in the Deng thread but I wouldn't mind the Bulls taking a PG. Let Rose play the 2 to take pressure off his knees and so he doesn't have to worry about getting the rest of the team involved. Or take the best shooter available. No need to take anymore defensive prospects with little offensive upside.

No tanking while Thibs is around at least.
