So can we all agree it is not a tragedy?
Ask GW. It's a tragedy. What's an even bigger tragedy, though, is the state of this forum and how baiting and spamming are encouraged to unprecedented levels here there days.

I did at the request of others. Based on where the thread was it was either move it or lock it. Given the factors, it's the better option.

This thread belongs in the General Forum. Who moved this thread?
I did at the request of others. Based on where the thread was it was either move it or lock it. I'd like you to move both of the threads back. The content of these threads was directed at the General Forum frequenters because of their opinions of the matter. Moving a 40+ page thread to the Chicago Bulls forum where barely any of the Bulls fans here have participated in this thread is an embarrassment to our fanbase. You're essentially saying that discussion of our team in the General Forum partially prohibited. Favoritism or bias towards any fanbase in the forums should not be tolerated. So I would kindly ask you to please move both threads back to where they belong. Thank you.

There has been no positive discussion in how many pages? That's the problem. If the topic remained basketball related there would be no problems at all, even with excessive namecalling and baiting. Not to mention your digging yourself a hole from the start with the 10th Derrick Rose topic since opening night.

No, it's been the terrible lack of moderation in the General Forum as of late that has led to this. I don't want this kind of attitude infesting the Chicago Bulls forum where things are, for the most part, kept clean and baiting and derailing of threads is kept to a bare minimum. I'd like this thread and the other one moved back to the General Forum where they belong. I can do it myself if I wish because I am a moderator and I have that privilege. But out of fear of you or another fellow mod locking it, I will not do so until we are in agreement. Also, for the record, when my final exams are over I will be asking Anmar what we can do to stop the derailment of threads in the forums. It has gotten so out of hand lately that it's extremely disappointing and nearly impossible at times to discuss basketball in the General Forum.

There's only so much a mod can do if it's coming from both sides. Which it has been. I'm pretty neutral on these threads but it's a constant back and forth. The best you can do is ignore comments that aren't basketball related and do your part in keeping the thread on topic.
People have the right to joke, and more often than not you give people reasons to. Take it with a grain of salt.

I can't find a stand-alone clip, so Green, you're going to have to bear with me here - just skip to around 5:31 - that's my message to you.
People will start taking you seriously when you give them a reason to do so. Until them, just expect more of the same.

No, it's been the terrible lack of moderation in the General Forum as of late that has led to this. No, it's you putting yourself in a position where nobody takes you seriously that has led to this. People haven't really been secretive about that, some of us have even told you that pretty directly. You've just chosen to ignore that, and will probably continue to do so.
