Tell me why Phoenix or Dallas wouldn’t do this trade ID 5790187:
Nash and Hill to Dallas
Beaubois, Butler, Ajinca, and a draft pick to Phoenix
Dallas gets a hall of fame PG rotation. Neither Nash nor Kidd should be playing heavy minutes and at their age, injuries are a huge risk to title hopes. This is insurance. They can split minutes and Nash and Dirk already have great chemistry. Dallas also gets Hill who would love a shot at a championship and can easily fill Butler’s production at SF. Their stats this year are very similar. This is basically a gamble by Dallas that they can win this season and/or next season at the latest.
Phoenix gets to rebuild which is basically what they have been flirting with since they let Amare leave town. Nash and Hill get to go chase a ring and PHX gets an excellent young guard in Beaubois to help the rebuilding process. They also get a young center and an expiring contract at SF. Holding on to Nash and Hill gets PHX nowhere because they won’t be in a position to contend for the remainder of their careers.

a reasonable offer, skewed towards DAL. I think Cuban would explode

It's a solid trade in terms of value but Dallas would not be able to win with this group. Nash, Kidd, and Terry filling up all the guard minutes wouldn't work defensively. No way they beat the Lakers or Spurs with that lineup.
