The latest addition to the Pacers...

I wonder what plans Larry & Donnie have for this guy. He appears to have more size and experience than Lorbek -- and with the lack of big guys on the current lineup I wonder if he'll make the team this season.

Considering that there isn't a whole lot of talented free agents over 6'10" left, I wouldn't be surprised if Betts is given a chance.

I hope Betts makes the roster just for depth at center. He was a 2nd rounder from 1998 who hasn't played a single game in the NBA. Hopefully he has developed somewhat. Maybe put him in the D-League.

Quote
“This was an opportunity for the Pacers to benefit from Peja’s signing with the Hornets by doing a sign and trade,” said Pacers CEO and President Donnie Walsh. “We acquire a $7.5 million trade exception that will be very beneficial in any trades that come up in the next year.”

7.5 million dollar trade exception sounds good too.

Hi, I'm new in here. Iøm from a little country in Europe(Denmark), and have seen Betts play a couple of times.

But I don't think Betts should be signet, he ain't really a player you talk about in Europe(like Jasi was).

Harrison and Foster are both better players, and we could easily find a better player if that's needed.

Betts won't be signed at all.
