Is he worth Corey Brewer and a 1st round pick? I'm extremely torn and want to say yes, but I just can't say he's worth that much. How can someone as talented as he is get literally zero run?

The 1st rounder is definitely too much.
Plus they'd also be taking Eddy Curry's contract in this scenario.

That trade is a pile of shit.
Randolph for a 1st rounder? Yes.
Randolph for a 1st rounder and Corey Brewer? No.
Randolph for a 1st rounder, Corey Brewer and swallowing Eddy Curry's contract?
EXCUSE ME?! It seems more like the greatest benefit we get is removing 'melo from our division and blowing up the Nuggets. -_-

Eddy Curry's contract expires. So, I don't really care about all that.

It seems like you could replace the 1st with a 2nd and it becomes more reasonable. Minnesota's 2nd rounder would be in the early 30's so that's not a bad pick at all, almost a 1st rounder.

If there's nothing else by the deadline I'm cool with it, but otherwise it eats up all the capspace.
Plus, there's the report that Minnesota isn't doing the deal anyway.

Newsflash: we are below the cap. Why would Taylor throw 3 million away just because we got.... TADAM Anthony Randolph? This made sense when we were still hobbled by Big Alco's contract, 'Toine's expiring and whatnot. Right now we don't need to take on expiring-bought-out-soon deals because we have no salary to give back. If there was no Darko and Pek, Kahn could sell this as another 'redemption' project of Curry actually playing for us and helping K-Love down low... but its obvious from the beggining: we don't need him. We don't want him. We're paying him the money New York couldn't since 2008. Sad.

What the fk? Won't the Wolves pick be like a top 5 top 3. Why would you trade a top 5 pick atleast for Randolph?

They own Utah's pick. By current standings it would be 19th.

oh ok that makes sense now, aside from absorbing Currys contract. Allthough I don't understand the need for Anthony Randolph in the first place, wouldn't obtaining a Center be more ideal for them.
Also do they own their first rounder?

Well Randolph is a PF/C, so he is a center. They picture Darko Milicic as their center for the future (at least Khan does). That basically leaves them with Love / Milicic starting, with Randolph backing up both positions, Beasley swinging PF backup too, and possibly either (it would be too much to hope for both) Pekovic or Koufos turning out as something halfway decent.

No way man, Anthony Randolph at Center = a twig trying to guard broom. The dude has no weight / muscle on him. He'd get dominated by almost any center in the league at Center. Power forward / Small Forward maybe. He has the height and length, just not the physical capabilities of playing center for any length more then a few minutes and in special situations.

Yes he's thin but he still manages to rebound well and block shots. His career averages are 11.1 rebounds and 2.4 blocks per 36 minutes. And he's also only 21, still has time to bulk up.
Definitely not a SF by the way.

Actually Randolph bulked up considerably this offseason and Kahn was monitoring his progress. He has a crush on him - fact. Whether Randolph can be more than Tyrus Thomas - highly doubtful.
