eisley is on the thing because he got released with the luxury cap settlement but they still gotta pay him. just like brian grant is still on the lakers and finley on the mavs jyd on the knicks and so on.

yea apparently even if the draft picks arent signed they could as "holds" on the salary cap. they have their space reserved. that makes up for that 5 mil or so.

if the cap is 53.135 mil and the bulls have currently 30 mil spent(according to hoopshype) then wouldnt we ahve like 23 mil and not 17.5 mil? thus allowing even if wallace has a front loaded deal around 17 mil first year then leave like 5-6 mil left?

Perhaps they don't have the rookie salaries calculated in the payroll yet.  T2 and Thabo are still unsigned.

TT will probably sign between $2.5 & $3.0 mil and Thabo will get between $1.3 & $1.5 mil for the 1st year.  That puts the number at $3.8 to $4.5 mil.

I love the fact that this contract is front loaded. This is what really put Paxson over the top in my offseason grades. I think that this is the wave of the future for NBA contracts. A team that actually becomes more flexible salary wise as the years go on. Its like NFL signing bonus money without the carryover. Great! Cool

i honestly think with all these team transactions the Bulls might definetly make second or third seed in the east (with of course Miami & new Jersey)
& making it past the first round definitly

It was a real smart move.  Paxson is making moves that will help his team beat the defending champs, not just improve the team.  He got wallace specifically to guard Shaq.
