People thought he would either go to the Jazz or the Raptors.
He turned out to be there at 8 and the Pistons got him.
Does this mean Stuckey is gone?

It means one or two of our guards is gone... We have what, 6-7 now? Will Bynum, Stuckey, Rip, Ben Gordon, Tericho White, T-Mac and now Knight.

Haha, what if we take a G in the 2nd round.

I would personally fan mail Tom Gores to fire Joe Dumars unless they dump atleast 3 of those guys whose last names rnt Knight and White

I think Bynum should be gone, Tmac isnt coming back (he only came last year to prove he was still valuable to a contender COUGH miami). Stuckey might leave sign and trade.  All we might have left is white Rip Knight and gordon

Stuckey & tmac aren't coming back. Rip should be dealt.

Didn't we just pay 3 mill to keep stuckey a rfa? He's not going anywhere.

Hopefully we can trade rip, that's about all we'll need to do. Terricho White is nowhere near ready to play nba basketball, so this "let's get rid of bynum" talk is stupid. Hopefully the new coach can do what we've been waiting for, make stuck a dominant 6th man.

Knight/Bynum
Gordon/Stuckey

That's what our backcourt should look like.

Then once tay and tmac leave, we are going to need wings again...this is why we took singler.

Knight/Bynum
Gordon/Stuckey
Daye/Singler (uh oh)
Jonas/Wilcox
Monroe/Wallace

We really need Daye to continue improving. I see us struggling again this year but being exciting, and with another top pick next year watch out.

Trade Ben Gordon to the Magic for expiring contracts and a 2012 first rounder (if they have one, its not going to be a high pick), or ship him to Utah for Millsap, Jefferson or Favors. Both teams could use a scoring guard and I think a change of scenery is exactly what BG needs.

Absolutely do not resign Prince (unless you work out a sign and trade where maybe Prince goes with BG to Utah for Jefferson)

The new CBA rule will allow them to cut Charlie V loose, and wouldn't ya know it, the Pistons have some cap space.

Go into next season with the lineup looking something like this...

G - Knight/Bynum
G - Hamilton/Stuckey
F  - Jerebko/Daye
F  - Monroe/
C  -           /Wallace

I - White, Singler, Macklin

The spots left open are the positions Joe needs to target this offseason whether it be via trade or free agency

Potential FA: and we're being realistic here so no Tyson Chandler, Marc Gasol, etc

C - Samuel Dalembert (most likely will end up with Miami)
C - Greg Oden (risky, but Joe D's been lucky before)
C - Nazr Mohammed (Bring him back!)
C - Spencer Hawes (size, Detroit has no size)
C- Chris Wilcox (showed he can be a capable backup big)
F - Kenyon Martin (leadership)
F - Kris Humphries (breakout season for a shitty Nets team, but then again, this is a shitty Pistons team)
F - Thaddeus Young (Dumars couldn't find a PF, forcing Jerebko to start at the 4)
F - Luc Richard Mbah a Moute (brings hard nose defense)
F - Yi Jianlian (Pistons have no Asian fan base)
G- Deshawn Stevenson (plays hard defense)
G- TJ Ford (will come cheap and would be for Knight than Will Bynum)
G- Ronnie Price (ditch Will Bynum)

I realize I've listed a lot of players, but the Pistons aren't very good and most of these players are immediate and noticable upgrades from the players currently on Detroit's bench.

K thanks.

Knight originally wanted to wear #0 but switched to #7 to symbolize the seven teams that passed on him. He better be able to back that up!

I'm curious what his role will be on this team, and how good he can truly be. I suppose the head coach will be a big factor. If it's Woodson, I'd assume he would go with Stuckey to start at the point and run a metric *** ton of iso plays for him.

If they go with Laimbeer, which isn't looking likely, I would see Knight being preferred to run the point pass more to the bigs.
