Now I am a big George Hill fan, but I would have rather traded a current asset to get him.
I was thrilled when Kawhi Leonard fell to 15, and when they announced the pick, I all but jumped out of my chair. When they announced the trade a few minutes later, I had mixed emotions.
I was thrilled to get Hill but disappointed to lose Leonard. I am trying to look at the bigger picture here, and it still is a little fuzzy. Hill is a PG, and possibly a better leader the Darren Collison, but neither are very big, so playing them at the same time is not a great idea.
Looking at contracts:
PG: Collison, Hill, Price(NG), Stephenson
SG: George, Rush, Jones
SF: Granger, Posey
PF: Hansbrough
C: Hibbert
~ I will assume that they plan on dropping Price, and that is disappointing.
~ They will need to resign Foster
~ They will try to resign McRoberts
What do you see happening this summer???
