It's still funny that you think you can just "retire" a character you "played" for 3 years. Especially when seemingly very little has changed since then.
I disagree. We are talking about green "Tyrus Thomas for Amare Stoudemire" wing vs. Jason "the only way Chicago takes back Ben Gordon is if Detroit adds the 8th pick" Rubin. One is a massive homer statement, the other is so incredibly stupid you wonder what the hell he was thinking.
You forgot to add that he truly believed both statements (and probably still does). Nothing changed but the amount he posts since the name change. They only let him out of the padded room once a day now.
Ha, well, my posting rate really hasn't changed at all. In fact, it's actually gone up slightly since I retired the greenwing character. Yet you seem to think I'm posting less...
What does that tell you?
Of the three points I made (that you believed what you posted, that there is no difference between greenwing and Jason Rubin, and the amount you've posted since the reveal) you chose to only argue against how often you post.
What does that tell you?
The only thing you mentioned in that particular post was regarding how often I currently post. So naturally, that's what I responded to. So why are you bringing other posts of yours into this?
As for your other two points, contrary to the "conspiracy theory" that greenwing wasn't a character I created and that posting as myself is the same thing as posting as greenwing, it's just not true. I admitted this to Mild Sauce long before anyone else at HoopsHype knew about it. And DeronWilliams was also aware, to some degree, what was going on. But hey, if you can't differentiate the difference in posting style, that's because you're still reading my posts with "greenwing glasses". Because there's a distinct difference.
I have noticed posters who have the tendency to overanalyze what I write on here these days or make false assumptions on the meaning of the content of my posts because they have difficulty not treating me as greenwing. But hey, I figure eventually that will calm down to some degree because, as was meant in my response to you in the post above, even you are already noticing that the outlandish posts that I made in the past don't appear with the same frequency as they used to despite an increase in post rate.
If I write anything that seems outlandish these days it's due to my innate homerism as a Bulls fan, which is no more or less homerish than the majority of fans of their respective teams on this site. I'm not sure how you can equate Thomas for Amar'e as being an actual serious post (one that I really don't recall ever making even as greenwing, but whatever), but since you're a Pistons fan I can see how you seem to think that Gordon's bloated contract and the 8th pick in an overall terrible draft is somehow a valuable package and even worth more than expiring contracts for a team that's desperately trying to cut salary off their roster. But hey, if that's homerific on my part then I'll admit to being a homer on the issue. My only point regarding the realgm posters was that a lot of other Bulls fans think the same way and that package idea was being thrown around.
Now you can argue that those collection of fans are just as much a homer if not moreso than me. But in reality, that one board over there is larger than all of HoopsHype. It also is comprised of a much older and much more knowledgeable group of individuals - a few of which are members of the media for the Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun-Times and, interestingly, the New York Times. There are some pretty outstanding individuals who post there who are, no doubt, a lot more "connected" to what's really going on in the NBA than most posters here.
However, I prefer HoopsHype. Why? The people here are more fun. The conversations, while lacking a bit at times in terms of quality and level of knowledge regarding the NBA, still represent the average guy who just likes to talk ball and have some fun while they're at it. I find that HoopsHype is a community - perhaps even a family to some degree. RealGM has its community, but it's a lot more serious over there. I kinda doubt half the posters here know how to properly analyze stats like TS%, eFG%, TRB%, etc. But quite a lot of posters over there do and rely too much on stats. I like it here how people tend to use the eye test a bit more when analyzing players - even when they're so outrageously wrong. Because at the very least they have an opinion not based solely on statistics. In any case, I've gone a bit off topic, so I digress.
The point being that if you try reading for the content of what I write these days instead of resorting to lil_flip_remix's "oh, it's greenwing!"-type nonsense, then you might see some value in what I have to say. I participate in quite a bit of non-Bulls threads these days and I'm sure I seem a lot less "homerific" in those threads. All I suggest is that you give it a try and see for yourself.
