the hawks get nothin from the deal because cook and rasho arnt great, childress is a young player who is pretty solid, and lue is a good backup pg so there losin more than there gainin, plus rasho big contract is more than both hawks players put together so that also is bad

Agreed that the Hawks lose in this deal. Childress still has potential IMO to be a 17-5-3 guy with 2 steals and a block. He has a nice build for a guy who can play the 2 guard. I would deal Childress for Rasho and Cook straight up, not to mention they also lose a solid backup in Lue.

No to the first and no to the second. There's no way in heck I want Vrad on my team so he can get hurt in snowboarding accidents, and also, Childress isn't good enough to start trading young workers like Hump and Graham or experienced guys like Rasho.

Just posted this on a different thread, but figured I might as well post it here as well...

I like Josh Childress in a Raps uniform

With the paucity of talent on the Hawk's, I can tell you we'd want a starter @ PG or C, and maybe a prospect as well - without taking on a long term contract (that is court ordered).  If the cap charge is inequitable, we might ask you to take a Speedy's contract as well (which actually isn't horrible - it goes down as it goes on).

But if you want Marvin, then even BK might deal him.  It'd take some doing (he was one of the pieces that led to our management meltdown), but he'd be the the most easily traded SF from ATL.  Just an FYI.
