He's definatly not horrible, hes just in the worst system possible for him.

If he played for San Antonio or Utah, he would be huge.

check his stats. there 2bpg seasons there. played in 82 games. and he used to dominate in college some 28ppg, 10 rpg guy

Shawn Bradley had some seasons with a lotta blocks. Doesnt mean he doesnt suck.

College Domination at a small school does not equal good player in pros

bradley wasnt as bad as people made out he was tho, like in 96-96 he averaged 8rbs 14pts and 3bpg

foyle has never got to those numbers, but he was drafted as a project but he is a solid defender and thats it

He shot over 60% this year. He had one game where he outplayed Yao (who he's always played well) and helped the Warriors beat Houston. He's a good rebounder and defender. It's his offense which is bad because he has trouble handling passes. He has problems defensively against quicker Centers (like Amare) but not as much with bangers and always gives 100% and is never injured.

The reason he doesn't play is because Nelson prefers to use 6'7 guys at the 4 and Biedrins at the 5. Everybody knows that the Warriors need a big man except for Nelson. He believes that he can win with a 6'7 guy at the 4 (Matt Barnes or Michael Pietrus). Everyone could see that he needed to play someone with size against the Jazz who were dominating them inside (and he had two guys who he could have playerd in Foyle and Powell who at 6'9 showed some pretty good skills during the season) but refused to and preferred to watch his team get manhandled all series but wouldn't even give either one of them a shot to see what they could do. In the right environment, I think Foyle would do pretty well. He also (I believe could play the 4 at times against some of your bigger 4s) as well as backup at the 5. Therefore there is some potential versatility there.

I could average 60% shooting if I took as few shots as he does.

This is a man who can only really rebound (defensively) and block some shots. He's exceptional at neither, however.
HE MAKES 8 MILLION DOLLARS! To put that in perspective, Mutombo is on 2.2million. Mourning is on something similar.
Adonal Foyle is an acceptable back-up on a team with a poor big man rotation that run a slow offense, and who likes to *** away money.

In terms of this trade, he's a joke.

He makes too much money, agreed. The money aside, he's a decent player albeit a backup and playing for the Warriors and Don Nelson probably makes him look worse than he is. He does have some skills which is all I'm saying and could contribute to the right team. As far I'm concerned he gives you more value than someone like KMart (or Stromile Swift) who doesn't play at all and could give you quite a bit more if he were on a different team. You're definitely not going to trade a superstar for him and most likely will be getting rid of some of your own dead weight or taking him on in order to get some other player that the Warriors have. His contract will also be expiring in two years. They're definitely worse out there. Plus he's a character guy which is usually worth a little something. Realize he's not an easy move for the Warriors. It's likely that the Warriors will keep him next year and try and buy him out the following if there are no takers before then. I just wish Nelson would use him more often. It's ridiculous having a guy on your bench making all that money and not giving him any playing time. I bet he could have helped them in the playoffs against Utah.

That Don Nelson is predjudiced against big men who don't run like a gazelle or big men in general.

Here's a 3-way that gets it done maybe.

Here's a good trade:

http://www.realgm.com/src_tradechecker/3/ (trade id 3850970)

GS trades Al Harrington + Jason Richardson + Patrick O'Bryant + #1 pick 2007

Minnesota trades Kevin Garnett + Ricky Davis

Washington trades Etan Thomas

Minnesota receives Al Harrington + Jason Richardson + Patrick O'Bryant + Etan Thomas + #1 pick 2007

Washington receives Ricky Davis

Warriors receive Kevin Garnett
