My favorite is at the North end of Vermont, in that park over there...
don't you have to pay the city's tennis reg. fee to play there? Honestly, as I approach 40, I just don't get out to play tennis or hoops enough to pay for it. These days my time with friends is spent mostly talking sports, talking family, or talking policy whilst sipping some sort of amber liquid and inhaling the smoke that results from burning certain budding or leafy plants. Not to say my playing days are behind me, but time is tighter than its ever been.

There is a fee that is occasionally enforced. When I lived in Hollywood, I played at the courts on Fountain and Vista for free, as well as the courts on Poinsettia which are free early on weekdays. I also am at the age not to play enough, and here in NYC it is quite a bit more money, and its alway raining on my days off. I also imbibe the amber liquid. I am tasting my first self-made sazerac right now. I had to figure something to do with my Creole bitters.

yeah, one of my childhood friends has been trying to get me out to Plummer or Poinsettia to play. Now that I'm all psyched up after watching tennis, I just may take him up on it. which boro you in? I lived in Astoria, Queens for 6 years. I loved it.

Uh-HOOOoooo! Azarenka wins. That was less beatdown and more laydown. All Maria's shreiking sounds pretty stupid if she plays like that. Perhaps she can get some sympathy from her loser husband.

http://www.theonion.com/articles/australian-open-canceled-as-tennis-balls-fall-off,27181/MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA—Organizers of the Australian Open canceled the highly anticipated Grand Slam event Wednesday night after admitting they were unable to prevent tennis balls from falling off the underside of the planet and into the sky. "We regret to announce we had not adequately researched the problems of playing tennis upside down here on the bottom of the world," a statement by tournament organizers read in part. "Our deepest, most sincere apologies go out to spectators, to participants, and especially to the family and friends of Kim Clijsters, who was last spotted by Royal Australian Air Force radar falling down through the atmosphere following an ill-advised jump serve." Sporting cognoscenti said the problems facing the Open were not insurmountable, pointing to the innovations that allowed Australian soccer to develop into Australian rules football in the 19th century.

funny, i was sleeping in the early proceedings of the match and got woken up to the sound of grunting, I thought my family were watching some homo porn but it turns out it was...Nadal and Djokovic.
Back to topic, Djok is gonna win. Rafa looks like he has nothing in the tank and isn't playing as well as he should. His backhand is kinda off and so is his forehand.
