So, NY is supposed to pin all of its hopes on a 38-year-old PG who will have plenty of suitors in free agency?

I'd give them at least until next season to see how it goes except if you get a very good offer before that.

I think they first have to give Phil Jackson a shot at turning it around.

Don't think it's premature to talk about blowing it up when Amare & Melo don't appear to play very well together. They definitely should offer Chandler & Amare for Dwight Howard .

I don't think that's the case.  Looking at how their game film has been analyzed, the problem seems to be that Amare and Melo are having hard time playing together.  I don't think a PG will fix that because their incompatibilities aren't PG related.

And Nash?  Are the Knicks fans really hoping on turning their team into a 5 year older version of the 2006-7 Suns?

No. They gave up everything. Admitting defeat now would be silly.

It's *their* full MLE.  Jesus f'n Christ.  Address the points and avoid the semantics.  Nash will play for the Lakers or Heat's MLE before he wastes his last season or two with the Knicks.
You gotta be kidding me. "They can give their full partial MLE". Whereas the Knicks, according to you, can only offer the reduced MLE (and you still haven't explained how that's true). Doesn't it kind of seem like you're the one using semantics to make it look like the Heat can offer more? Not that I think the cash matters, I just don't understand why you're saying stuff that obviously isn't true. Might as well say the Heat can offer the max (or *their* max) and the Knicks can offer the minimum.

I already listed the points as to why Nash could play for the Knicks. Your retort was "he's 38 years old". Nobody knows where Nash is going to play. If we're going to go based on what he says, he seems perfectly content with wasting his last seasons on the Suns.

I think this thread needs to blow up, ridiculous.  Really, you can't take anymore games?  Mind you we've played this entire bootleg season w/o a starter quality PG?  How old are you, 8?  SMH
