Apparently Toronto is trying to sway Chandler into signing with them. If we can get something in return (2012 pick swap?) then I'd be fine with that, seeing as paying Gallo, Afflalo & Nene all big contracts already and LAwson up for an extension next season.....I'd like Chandler to just sign his QO and become unrestricted this summer, that gives us another body during this time of injury and for a playoff run.
The most that TOR can offer him right now is $4.3M per year starting salary, which Denver could/would easily match. If they rid themselves of salary that could change. Also, no S&T option available due to new CBA.
Personally, I'd like the Nugg's to sign him long-term and then trade him during the offseason so as not to lose him for nothing. Have them put in a trade kicker to increase his salary if traded (if necessary), get us thru the rest of this year (showcase him to increase value) and make the best trade available.
