Hi guys

I've heard in Oregonian the last rumor involving ATL and POR: Portlad send Aldrigde, Jack and unconditional pick of 2008 for Josh Smith and #3 pick of 2007.

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/traderesult?players=2411~2983~2768&teams=22~1~1

What's your opinion ?

Yes you're right.

I think Portland don't offer enought, it they would add Magloire in a sign and trade..... maybe

Or Atlanta offer Josh Chilldress instead Josh Smith

No imo Smith is the centrepiece here you cant remove him.

Smith + #3 for Aldridge, Jack and '08 1st pick is a great deal for portland imo. They get an excellent starting sf and can keep Randolph if they so desire. They then of course can draft Oden's boy Conley.
Cant see the point for Atlanta unless they think Alridge will turn into someone better than a big they could get at #3, which i dont think is the case.

why would the hawks want to trade smith for? i dont think they would do that...considering he is the only one on the hawks that plays defence and people pay to watch - i think it will be aldridge and jack for the number 3 pick - the blazers can afford to lose aldrige...the hawks dont really lose much - they actually gain more then what they give up - considering they still have the 11th pick

No, there's no way Portland give up Aldridge and Jack for the #3 pick (without a significant player like Smith). I think all these rumours about Portland and the #3 will turn out to be smoke anyway.

Good evening Mr Kiwi. You'd take that though, right? Get Conley with 3 and Smith?

I think you'd struggle not to take that if you're committed to Zach.

But I've got to say, I'd be surprised to see Aldridge moved and personally, I'd be disappointed.
