I proposed the Ronnie Brewer, Kyle Korver for Calderon trade on the trades section, wondering what you guys think of that deal? I feel it addresses our wings, position we need depth in and gives us a perimeter shooter in Korver, also something we really need. While Chicago gets their PG for a year in Jose, one who could fill in really well for Rose.

I'd rather keep Calderon to be honest.

We have to make sure have a replacement PG FIRST before we think of this.

I remember watching a game that Thibadeau (sp?) called a time out early in the game simply because Rose let his man blow by him.  During the time out, he let his team have it, particularly Rose (who's a great defender!).  For this reason alone, I can't see the Bulls being interested in Calderon.

^ Since when is Rose a great defender?

Anyways, no. Brewer and Korver are dime a dozen type players and I really don't want to add any more mediocre swingmen to our team, if we're going to make a trade we should make it a good one that adds truly useful pieces.

Like Rudy Gay??

HH rumours section mentions he's available and that the Raptors are one of the teams likely to make a move for him. I dont know what Memphis will expect, but hooooly *** that would just be ridiculous.
Its also rumoured to be somewhat of a cost cutting move by Memphis, so maybe the price tag is a little more tempered?

What do you think its going to take?

Impossible. Rudy Gay is way out of our league for what assets we have to offer.

How so?

Bargnani and the 8th pick should be enough.

Not saying we should do it or that it will happen, but now you are talking about a Memphis team with Bargnani and possibly Jeremy Lamb. That looks pretty good for them down the road considering I expect either Allen or Mayo to buck.

No Memphis would not do that.

Yeah right. Not like Bargnani is better than Z-Bo.

Not sure if intending to come of sarcastic?

But Randolph is one of the best rebounders in the league and a very, very, efficient scorer with Memphis.

Tru Dat, when healthy Z Bo is one of the more efficient and versatile PFs in the league. Looks like his head-case days are behind him, so yeah... not even a debate.

NO Hornets are looking to package the 10th pick with one of Ariza or Oakafor in attempt to clear some salary.

They are currently in need of a point guard, I was thinking a Jose for Ariza and 10th pick would help both teams, Hornets save a huge chunk of cash, and we pick up a serviceable wing defender and a very desirable 10th pick.

I like. Especially if we can then package both those picks into a higher pick and come out of this draft with Barnes or Kidd-Gilchrist.

That would be a great deal for the Raptors. We'd just have to bring in a veteran PG to play behind Bayless, and im not talking Anthony Cater-esque, someone who can actually still play.

I have to guess they'll look to move Okafor first because they'll get Davis, and maybe re-sign Kaman at a discount. He would be a great piece to have to throw out there as a defensive specialist and rebounder off the bench. Val could learn a lot from him.
If we keep the picks and take Lamb + Marshall, that looks pretty good, or go for the home run and try and package both the picks to move up and take Barnes.

Either way - nothing to dislike about that move if it were to happen.
