A group from Oklahoma City has agreed to buy the Seattle SuperSonics and the Seattle Storm, a source with the SuperSonics said Tuesday. It's not sure they are moving this year, but if it isn't now it will be after the season for sure.

Portland would probably be the next candidate to move, they're selling their team too.

I think the Sacramento Kings are mad about their arena or somethin like that...

How will the divisions be affected?  Will they stay in the Northwest?  Or will they go to the Southwest?

I wondered about that too. The KeyArena lease doesn't expire until 2010. Whether they renew it, and all signs point to that they wont.... we'll just have to see what happens.

Why would you expect a bunch of Sonics fans here at a national site? Thy SonicsCentral.com or Supersonicsoul.com. that's where the Sonic's fans are.

If you haven't noticed, almost everybody on this forum are fans of either the Lakers or the Raptors, with a few Suns and Kings fans.  The fact is that the NBA should not leave Seattle, they ranked 9th in the league in attendance.  Plus, how is the Key Arena so bad, I remember when they made the NBA finals 10 years ago that the arena was just refurbished.
