The more stuff I dig up, it becomes clearer. He doesn't really care what TEAM he is traded to. What he wants is a bigger MARKET. New York & Los Angeles or the two biggest markets, And Chicago is third. It has nothing to do with the cold weather, DRose or Adidas. He wants to play in a big market with an elite backcourt player. And he wants to be traded, Because he is tired of Orlando (Small Market) & knows if they don't trade him then he plans to walk. He doesn't want to do that, Because thats what Shaq did. Not because he feels sorry for Orlando or anything. In his mind by not having to walk away, He looks better then Shaq. Why sign the option then ? He could have been signed with Brooklyn ..... tomorrow if he was a UFA. Because he is cursed with loyality. Not to the franchise but to his hoards of groupies in central florida. And I feel Orlando told him if he signs the option they will get him the player(s) he wants. (Otis Smith) Which they haven't and doubt they will. A promise they couldn't keep, A desperate move on thier part. Or could it be just so simple as MONEY. His year now will pay him 19 million. Will his new contract's first year be that high ? Only if Orlando writes it, and then trades him. He needs Orlando to sign the contract with them, So he gets top dollar. And only his original team can pay him that high. Dwight wants them to take the deal with Brooklyn, So he can play in New York. But Orlando knows its not good for the franchise to meet that request. (Stand Still) And they haven't made a deal with the Lakers or Clippers. Cause I feel neither team has offered them a better deal. Well wait a second, Better then what? Thier first choice ? ..... Chicago ? All the stuff being said about him is true. Except I do think he wants to win. Not because he wants to get to the top and preclaim himself champion, Not because he wants into that club of NBA players with rings. Because winners get paid. Winners get primetime dollars and exposure. I don't think he wants to spend one more minute in Orlando, But the magic have control of him to some point. If no trade, No ticket out of here. The only chances for Chicago is that he sees that the 2nd city and 3rd media market, Is better then sitting in Orlando dragging out this dwightmare any further. Or the Bulls decide to take a chance and see what happens, See if he warms to the windy city. In two years are we gonna really re-sign Deng ? Does Joakim Noah really mean so much, that they would pass on a chance to make the trade. Do they really have either of them in thier long term plans ?

I could care less about all that premadonna , diva stuff. All I care about is his numbers. And if he gets traded to Chicago, You'll be in line for your jersey. The same as people would have been in line for Lebron's jerseys if he came here.
3× NBA Defensive Player of the Year (2009–2011) 6× NBA All-Star (2007–2012) 5× All-NBA First Team (2008–2012) All-NBA Third Team (2007) 4× NBA All-Defensive First Team (2009–2012) NBA All-Defensive Second Team (2008) NBA Slam Dunk Champion (2008) NBA All-Rookie First Team (2005) Naismith Prep Player of the Year (2004) Diva ...lol.

Yep, yep an yep. Bulls are going for the big prize. Chicago has to much stuff going on that in the end, I can't see dwight passing up.He will play here especially if he gets traded here. Bulls just need to pursue him an pursue him hard. Magic have said they wanted to trade him here but he didn't budge because he had other options. Well options are running out for him. An I think Dwight will eventually see what Carlos Boozers contract could turn into. An who knows, probably won't happen, but the bulls could even go after lebron again to play with dwight an rose in 2014. Lol more likely would be gay, melo or granger

I really don't see dwight not being happy here. We just got to get him here.
Noah Deng Asik? Rip? Watson korver or brewer, charlotte pick
Give them what they want, bulls will be able to fill the roster out
And Riensdorf better be ready to pay the luxury tax because I know for sure the Nets would...an Jerry has said, if we are championship worthy, Ill do it. Its going to be time for him to step up to the plate.

Would you make this trade if Howard refused to extend as part of the deal? Also I see this going the way of Melo now where his agent will start telling teams that if they trade for him his intentions are to become a free agent and sign with brooklyn thus hurting trade value but I don't think he cares if HR hurts Orlando. So really would you risk it if he declared he would not sign?

IF he goes somewhere else, and that team stepped up and offered a good package (As good as or Better then the Bulls could have) I will wipe my hands of this. But if some team gets him for less, I will always point the figure right at the Bulls front office. And your right @chitownbulls The options are narrowing for him. I feel that his meeting with Rob Hennigan was like this. Rob just started it with what his plans are for the Orlando Magic and the direction he is taking them. He probably stated he and the Magic want Dwight to be apart of that. It then turned to Dwight and his plans and thats when he demanded a trade again. The rumor is to Brooklyn (New York) , But with them rumored to be going after Joe Johnson and OJ Mayo will see. And the fact they have nothing to deal for Dwight. To me even thou Dwight wants there, It seems that the Magic in the past , have all ready told Brooklyn No and they don't have a good enough offer. But stating that publicly losing them Deron Williams. As far as Chicago, The deal will obviously have to include Joakim Noah and Loul Deng & Now Loul "Doesn't need surgery" this coming from Bulls front office people. Why would they announce that ? So he is part of thier deal. Gar Forman said "Weve been preparing for this draft and summer for several years.." So did they spend years discussing Marquis Teague ? When he fell in there lap ? So maybe its the summer part of that quote they've really prepared for. He also has I pointed out, "Will continue to put pieces around Derrick and SOME of the other core guys and Trend up ." Some of the other core guys could in there strange use car salesmen crossed with Jack Sparrow way of thinking mean keeping Carlos Boozer and Derrick Rose. And trend up seems clear, Get better players. Get better players then the ones we have. So after decoding Gar Forman he basically said "Will use some are core guys to go get a better Player(s)." So make a list of players they could get for Noah and Deng that the common fans would view as Better. As for him signing long term. If the Bulls get him via a trade, The teams that have had interest will start to move on. They will not wait around until next summer to field a team. Now, There is sure to be the lone wolf that just waits it out to the very very very end. In Dwight's own words "I'm too Loyal" So he could warm to Chicago and it's fans I feel. He will see that are Media Market isn't anything to laugh at. And the crazied interest locally will bring him in more money then he probably thought. With Derrick out the whole season he will be the center of attention in Chicago sports. And for the Bulls they can lock him up long term before the trade deadline. "Show me the money Jerry, Show me the Mooney" If he walks from them its no big lose really. Deng will have gotten worst and Noah can be replaced by Asik. And now we'll have 20 million bucks or more to go after a #2 guy before Rose's return in 2013-14. To me they need to put thier big boy pants on and just go get this guy.

The more I think about it... would Dwight walking away really be THAT bad? The only big contracts we'd have on the books are Rose and maybe Booze (who we could amnesty). Then we could go at it in free agency for the next year or 2... I don't really know what is going to be out there, but if we had a clean slate, I don't think it would be as bad as it may look right now... Guys like Rudy Gay, Melo, Josh Smith... Don't really know who else, but there would be some options with the cap space we created...

Wheather people see it or not. Thier headed for a rebuild anyway. Ok, Maybe one year they get lucky and win a title. Doubtful. And then what do we do with the rest of Rose's career ? And whats to say Deng stays in Chicago after his contract is up. I'm a huge Noah fan, But you gotta trade something to get something. If they don't even put there chips all in, I will be disapponted. Sure some other team could out bit. But you gotta try Bulls. Imma be a fan regardless, But I wanna see em dominate Miami & the rest. Howard brings us closer to that. Deng & Noah don't.

If we can get Dwight, its pretty obvious that he`s gonna sign long term in Chicago. The media and the market, and Derrick`s low profile, and the fact that he is gonna be out this year, can make D-12 stand in Chicago. Lica Chitown Bulls said, the bulls have to offer ALL they can, we can fill our roster later. But this its a great shot, if the bulls fails, or if the bulls get him and D-12 just walk away in '13 ( i dont think so) we can rebuild with a HUGE FA and nice cap space.

like you guys were saying....Deng will be gone in 2 years anyway. Noah an the Charlotte pick is probably what you will really be giving up. In 2014, theres tons of free agents available. So if Dwight does leave us....(which i dont see happening but you never know), the Bulls pretty much got rid of NOahs fat contract an Dengs big contract. PLUS on top of all that, the Bulls can amnesty Boozer. You just got rid of ALL 3 big contracts this team has. In 2014, you can sign 3 more guys to big contracts or 2 MAX contracts an a guy that would make 8-10mil.
We are going to need to rebuild anyway like swag said.....Could this be a Win Win situation? AND PLUS, If you do get Dwight Howard....his team can offer him the most money...I believe thats true. So the Bulls would have Dwight an Rose, Amnesty Boozer, go after Gay,Melo,Granger etc..., best defensive coach, big market, great stadium an fans, beautiful city, PLUS we could pay Dwight the most out of everybody. WIN WIN
If he leaves....go after 3 big free agents.

exactly, win win scenario, the worst case its if the Bulls Front Office, doesn`t change the roster right now, so we have to wait until 2 more years :S. And i think that`s what`s gonna happend :S

To me you do it like this. You make the trade with Orlando, Dwight will be mad and cry. But then he will settle in a little with Chicago. Brooklyn is all ready being rumored to "Not be waiting for Howard" And after he gets traded to us. Most those teams will either use thier cap space or just move in another direction. Then you show him the money. You don't even talk to him about resigning. None of that "Please o please Dwight" stuff. You write up a FAT contract for him, and give it to his agent. Since his agent seems to be giving him advice. Then his option to go to Brooklyn will be gone. And he will be in a winning situation in Chicago, with a FAT contract sitting thier waiting to be signed. If he takes it, he can rebuild his image. If he walks, He ruins his image. Did I mention how FAT I want them to write a contract ? lol. Im talking 5 years 125+ million. Insane numbers.
Note: My uncle bought this real cherry old car. 57 chevy I think. He talks about being buried in it. Then some guy came and made him an insane offer. And he sold it. Money talks and Bull Ish walks.

if nets close the deal for Joe Johnson, Dwight chances to go to Nets are going to be 0% That leaves just Lakers and Rockets "in race" but lakers trust in Bynum. There is just Rockets, adn Bulls but i dont read nothing about bulls making a real offer.

Yah, The quiet bothers me also. But the leaks could be coming from the teams making the offers. And the Bulls run a tight ship. Thier comments and actions lately seem to show thier about to make some major move. So I wouldn't be surprise if the first news is after the deal is done.
