Im not worried about Asik, Im thinking about the Bulls becoming dominate in one ballsy move. Deal for Howard. He meets with Orlando GM Monday in Los Angeles. He made the Gm fly to him for a chit chat. Hopefully, That meeting goes bad, and Orlando GM Kid flys back and trades him to the Bulls. Thou Im predicting in happens August 16th 2012. Week after his Kids camp in Orlando.

Please someone give me an Example where Howard cares more about winning then being a Celebrity. His diva nature is literally crippling Orlando. We Bulls fans have to realise that hes not coming here cause he does not want to be here. Its not about winning to him. Its about Him to Him. He wants to be a celebrity and an icon. He dosen't want to be D-Roses boy.
Secondly Orlando isn't gonna want to pay for Deng and Noah just to be a low seeded playoff team. They have spent a lot of money to keep Howard happy and if they move him they are going to spend a year or two removing bad contracts and then trying for free agents and lottery picks to rebuild.

They have said they want good ready NBA players back in any deal for Howard. They just built a brand new stadium...getting Deng an Noah will help them at least become a playoff team. Gotta sell those tickets. Jameer Nelson just opted out now too. Magic are about to implode. But I agree...I see Dwight being moved right before the season starts when they can get the most for him. If they wait til the deadline, I think most teams arnt going to offer them as much.

Deng has two years left on his contract. And Joakim is a young player and comes at a valued contract. And your right he is a diva. But so was Dennis Rodman, How'd that work out for Chicago ?

So they would have won three more rings without Dennis ? Now, Its my turn to tell you to get a grip. Dwight Howard is one of the top five players in the world. He is the best big man in the world. And if you think Bulls management has just gave up on getting him. That's just foolish. And if you really think Deng & Noah bring us closer to a title then Dwight would, that's foolish. We will never find a 6'8" 270 lb. SF with Lebron's skills. And to win championships you have to beat him in the playoffs. But we do have a chance to get a 6'11" 250 Center that dominates the paint, and will defend it from the likes of Lebron and Wade. And Bulls management Im sure have thier eyes and ears ready for this summer.

To start i think if you replaced Rodman with any capable power forward the Bulls could still win those titles. Also if we could get Howard for equivalent value of what we traded Rodman for I would do it in a second (please Will Purdue un-retire so we can trade you for Dwight Howard). Second,I do not think our roster will bring us closer to a title and i never claimed that. What i said is Dwight doesn't want to be here. Its not all about winning a title to him. If we could pull a trade for him i think he would still leave no matter what and i don't think we could win a title this year with the roster we would have. That minus Rose, Brewer, Kover, Watson, plus having to trade Deng Noah, and even maybe Asik. So even if the Magic took that trade we would deplete our whole roster probably not have enough to win a title and Howard could walk. I as a Bulls fan would love to have Howard but because of all the factors playing into this give it at best getting Howard a 5% chance and the chance of having Howard past this season less than 1%. What is your honest opinion on the chances the Bulls land Dwight Howard?

Dennis Rodman is in the Hall of Fame for a reason. As far as Dwight, First - The Magic are doing everything they can to convince him to stay. But that's alot to do. They need the right coach, They need to fix the team. Plain and simple that team isn't good enough for him anymore. Second, He wants to play in Brooklyn, The Nets have nothing to offer, And the best piece they can offer Orlando would be Brook Lopez. I'm hoping Joakim Noah holds more value in a trade. Once it gets to where Orlando relizes they cant keep him. I see them getting the best deal. I've read they don't want a deal with just draft picks and young prospects. So if thats true then Houston is out as well. So at this point I only see two places the Magic can trade him. Chicago, Los Angeles. The problem comes with him, I see him tryimg to get all the way to UFA status and signing with the Nets. So Deron Williams situation plays into this. Hopefully, Brooklyn resigns Williams and Lopez etc. and doesn't have cap space left. So I say 30% chance now, But things can swing quickly. Take the Lakers out and it's 50/50.

Again not saying anything bad against Dennis Rodman. All i'm saying is that the team around him was so good i don't think losing Rodman would of made the team a non contender.
As for a 50/50 chance i can't argue with that optimism only to say, if the odds where that good i would think the media would have more steam on this. I haven't heard anyone in the Bulls organization or who covers the Bulls that really gives this a chance. Hope your right though because if i could move Noah and Deng for Howard I would do it in a second.

Chicago Media is currently used to disappointment. No Lebron, No Wade, No Olympics. So optimism isn't thier strong suit right now. It's better to act uninterested then to end up with pie in the face. National Media is and has been negative towards the Bulls. I mean they got tired of covering them win, Year after year in the 90's & Alot of the on air talent have been beaten by the Bulls and thier careers changed. So there is bitterness that lingers. But to that point, That works to the Bulls favor in my opinion. I am positive that Dwight in dead center on thier radar. And the media's uncoverage helps thems creep in the shadows. There is alot of angels to this story, but hopefully as you say as the angels are removed it leads Howard straight to Chicago. I'm a longtime fan, And I see how we Bulls fans fall in love with our players. There is a blue collar spirit that we can do it no matter who the players are. The sad truth thou, Is that stars win titles. Micheal & Scottie and Phil won because they are stars. Bulls have one star now thats injuried. So if they wanna win they need a second. No better one for them then Howard.

Im not in love with Deng and Noah. I don't believe that Deng and Noah are worth Dwight Howard. Both are coming off injury and while Noah still has years left I think Dengs value now is at its highest and it will begin to drop.
If stars win championships why would Orlando part with one to receive 2 guys that aren't stars. If they make that trade Noah and Deng become their two best players and they have no cap space. So not only do they not have a star but they have no cap space and a team that will be a 7th or 8th seed and no lottery picks. When Orlando says NBA ready players they mean someone project to become a star or an established star. They will not sell tickets with Deng and Noah, in a market like that your either contending or rebuilding fans do not pay for middle ground.

Cause they don't wanna loose him for nothing. They'll take the best deal if he decides to leave. Dont think they will care about his "List". Not saying Bulls players are that great, Just they MAY be the best deal for Orlando. This scene could play out again thou ... But hopefully Dwight's beef with Shaq will keep him from the Lakers. Still several teams he could go to, But if the Bulls present Orlando with best return for thier lose, They could get him.

Chicago media an National media never talk about the Bulls getting Howard...which imo, is really dumb. Especially the Chicago media....who cares what Dwight says, we need to be bringing it up anyways much like the New York media did with Melo. The Bulls have a legit shot to get him....like swag has been saying, once it comes down to it, Dwight will have to make a decision. And Orlando imo, will most likely trade him to get something back. His options are running out. I actually hope Deron signs with the Mavs so Dwight has nobody to play with in Brooklyn. Once the trade talks start to heat up again...someone will let Dwight know that Boozer is about to get amnestied an the Bulls can then bring in a guy like Rudy Gay, Melo, Granger etc.. 2014 Free Agent Class is the deepest free agent class I have seen in YEARS....
Rose Anyone? Melo, Rudy or Granger Taj Dwight
That is a realistic lineup...an Taj an Dwight would be the best defensive tandem in the league with the best defensive coach in the league. But like you said, if all he cares about is being a celebrity then he is just plain stupid.

Think about this
Rose Young Batum Taj Howard
with the salary cap changing that might be a more realalistic line up
This would include everything tho
Rose can play both sides...Young could develop defensively if not he can shoot lights out and will get open looks...Batum would be solid on bothsides and great in transition...Taj will develop and play offense more consistently and superb d and the you get what you get with Howard

That's a really nice lineup too, Bulls just need to hold tight right now. Dwight came out today an said he wants to be traded again. Its going to be a long summer. He's said he wants to go to Brooklyn but they really don't have the assets anymore. Hopefully the magic can't make a deal with Brooklyn an then Dwight finally just says okay to Chicago. He is a complete knucklehead though. The way he's acting an not being about winning really rubs me the wrong way. But of course, if we got him, I would be pumped!
