Houston sends Dallas a 1st-rounder


Dallas starts the tanking for a better draft position this season and builds for the future. Also free up more cap space to maybe sign both Chris Paul and Dwight Howard.

Lakers get two guys that both looked their best while playing for Mike D. This also can save Nash's legs because playing him 35 minutes will leave him exhausted for the playoffs.

Houston gets another star player. Even though Lin has played better of late, he is still not ideal playing 35 minutes next to Harden.

Rockets i doubt do it, they don't want Pau anymore. They want a young big to play with Harden. But its a cheap price.

At this point Dallas would better trade for Royce White,since Patterson would be pretty much useless with T.Jones in the team as young big who requires minutes for the development,and in a back-up role behind Dirk/whatever decent C Dallas will have next season,and at least White has upside to fill SF role

But White is basically out of the league, why would Dallas what that? Unless your looking at a way to get another expiring contract if they can void his deal in the offseason, maybe.

I believe that Dallas would be a much better environment for him to try to develop his talent

None of the teams in the league are a better situation for White. His side: Its unsafe for him to play, because there is no code on handling mental illness in the NBA, so no matter what team he would play for they would be making up their decisions without knowledge. Its a valid argument.

I have yet staed my thought on White argument.Fact is,after the trade Dallas would have minutes empty at SF to fill,and to eventually give to White,a thing that Rockets didn't have and White required
