it ain't much but I think it's an improvement.

Detroit signed their starting center, backup SF, SG and resigned a vet backup  point guard. The depth chart is like:

Nazr Mohammed/Dale Davis
Rasheed Wallace/Antonio McDyess/Amir Johnson
Tayshaun Prince/Ronald Dupree/Jason Maxiell
Richard Hamilton/Flip Murray/Carlos Delfino/
Chauncey Billups/Lindsey Hunter/Alex Acker

with Delfino on his way out, I think the Pistons should either sign a 3rd string shooting guard or a 3rd center since Dale Davis is a fossil and incase Nazr gets injured.

I still think Detroit is a title contender with that lineup. Maybe not 65 wins. But they'll still go deep into the playoffs.

You should probably switch Amir and Maxiell.

While Amir might eventually be a PF, Maxiell is definitely not a SF.

Also, Alex Acker is not on the roster right now, he's a free agent.

We could have done MUCH worse but I guess it's better than a pile of stones.

I thought Max could get some minutes at the 3 , I swear i read that somewhere.

I guess it's possible that they could experiment with that in blowouts, but I don't think it's safe to count on him as a rotation 3.

Yeah... I saw Maxiell is only 6'7 so I thought he'd be better off switching his game to the 3 spot... but this is coming from someone who hasnt seen him play so I dunno..

Jason Maxiell is by no means a small forward. He is a power forward, who is terribly undersized.

And Joe Dumars himself has said that Amir Johnson will be playing the three spot seeing as he is physically strong enough to play power forward, pr center.

Maxiell might be short in terms of height, but i think he has long arms and is supposed to be an exceptional athelete. The same way ben wallace was able to play the c position at 6-9, i think maxiell has a good chance of providing backup minutes at the 4. But even with all the moves to date, I dont think the pistons should trade delfino. And if they do, they should get some value for him. no bs 2nd rd picks!!!

I don't think Delfino is on his way out and I think he will be Prince's primary backup.  He is good enough to play and the more minutes he gets early in the season the better he will get as time goes on.

Thats a terrible list...

Nazr Mohammed/Sheed/Dale Davis
Rasheed Wallace/Antonio McDyess/Jason Maxiell/Amir Johnson
Tayshaun Prince/Carlos Delfino/Ronald Dupree/Amir Johnson
Richard Hamilton/Flip Murray/Carlos Delfino
Chauncey Billups/Lindsey Hunter/Will Blalock/ and *shudder* Flip Murray

Our bench doesnt look that great, but who knows... maybe Delfino will actually turn out good, maybe Flip can run the point, maybe Nazr will have a breakout year and we wont need Davis, maybe Dupree wont steal time from Delfino, maybe Maxiell isnt too short...

Too many maybes...

Might want to rethink that, Delfino is going to force his way out of Detroit.

There has to be some team out there that will give us a first rounder for Delfino. Maybe someone like Memphis or Houston...

I would trade him to the spurs. They are looking for youth in thier backcourt. He will also get to play with fellow countrymen Ginobili and Oberto. How bout
Delfino for eric williams and future 2nd round pick and cash considerations.
