http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine/?tradeId=baz6fal

Bucks - Move a bad contract and Jennings, who probably wont resign with them and they probably dont want to resign anyway. They get a big expiring contract (which they could use before the deadline themselves), and a prospect

Mavs - Bring in a point guard they like for players they have soured on, have to eat a contract

Now big picture for the Mavs
Every deal they make before this summer can't stop them from being able to get Howard. Before this trade, assuming Mayo opts out of his deal (which is expected) the Mavs would have around 13-16 million in cap space heading into the summer. I don't know if that would be enough to offer Dwight a max at his current salary levels. So I assume for them to get him, it would be Dwight telling LA "Im not resigning here, I want to go to Dallas, trade me there."

So in a sign and trade you would need salaries to match up. If he is telling you he will leave and you have to trade him, wouldn't a Dallas package of Shawn Marion's 9 million expiring and Vince Carter's 3 million expiring (both of whom have proven to be productive players this season as well), and Gooden's 2 year deal at just under 7 million per be an alright package? Think about when Kevin Love can opt out of his contract, after the 2015 season, when Gooden's deal would be a 6 and a half million dollar expiring. Wouldn't that be a good piece to include in a deal for Love Laker fans?

Collison/Kaman/2013 1st
For
Jennings/Dalembert/2013 1st

That's a fair deal between these teams

Steal for the Bucks
Jennings is not a guy Dallas can successfully build around(and given Dirk's age they have buy someone to win now or look at the long term, and jennings doesn't fith any of these needs),and Gooden contract is bad.It does not make sense for the Mavs

Because Jennings is too incostant to be a 2nd option for a winning team?

What about as a 3rd guy if they had Dirk and Dwight?? Dirk is old, but he will age very well as a 7 footer with great range.
