Quote
Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose reiterated Wednesday night there is a chance he will sit out the entire season as he recovers from surgery to fix a torn ACL in his left knee. He isn't sure when he'll return to the floor.

"I really don't know," Rose said. "I'm feeling good but like I said, if it's where it's taking me a long time and I'm still not feeling right, I don't mind missing this year."

I would rather have him sit out all year and come back normal than to have a Brandon Roy situation.

I find it intresting the spin the Media has put on this. I think most fans are fine if Rose dosen't come back. I hope the Bulls respect Rose enough to let him make the call and that Rose respects the Bulls enough that they could sit him this year even if hes ready to go.

His brother is an idiot and this kind of worries me. The fact he said the Bull's are leading fans on that Rose may come back this year to sell tickets is crap. The Bull's were selling out long before Rose came to the Bull's.

His brother has been a complete non-issue since he came to the Bulls. I'm sure he's frustrated that his brother can't play and the Bulls are slipping a bit down the NBA mountain because of it. It's his opinion. Probably not a very PR friendly opinion since he is Derrick's manager(?). Nonetheless, I really liked the way Thibs handled it when asked about it. He basically said Derrick's brother shares the same goals as the organization; getting Derrick healthy, and winning a championship. Thibs said Derrick isn't put in a awkward place because of the comments and that Reggie is entitled to his opinion. I agree. It's only a big deal if you make it a big deal.

ben gordon was a guy he trusted and always passed to when he was open.  those other guys are not the kind of shooters i'm talking about, they are more mid range guys.  how many times did we see rose get hinrich, deng or salmons a wide open shot and those guys would pump fake then try to step in to get a better shot and end up passing up a wide open 3 for a contested 20 footer? they are not the kind of guy's rose needs.  i said when he was drafted that deng and hinrich had to go and

This year is kind of irrelevant I don't see anyone capable of beating the heat besides the Pacers. If we had a non rusty full speed/health Rose we could take them I think the way the team is coming together. I am fine with whatever Rose and the Bulls management decide to do in regards to coming back or not this season.

No matter how many ways you slice it, they weren't beating Miami anyway. I actually don't think they could beat Indiana either who looks like they are becoming a real behemoth in the east. Sit the year out and come back with the same drive to succeed.
