This is the fight everyone will buy. Young gun Canelo Alvarez, the Mexican tomato vs Floyd Mayweather. Both fighters are undefeated, but about 12 years apart in age. I still like Mayweather due to his unreal art of defensive boxing. Alvarez is a great fighter and I'd take him over every other top boxer in his weight class (Khan, Marquez, Berto, Martinez, Alexander), but I just don't think he can handle Mayweather over the course of 12 rounds.

Still wish he'd fight Pac-man (who he'd destroy). It would be unreal if he'd throw down in Manila. The coverage of that fight would be insane! He'll never fight anywhere but Las Vegas though.

considering his age, talent, record, and punching power...Canelo goes straight to the top of Floyd's resume

you might be right, buddy.  Floyd might retire after the 3rd fight...a senior citizen match with Pacquiao

I think Canelo is gonna take this, he is in great shape and Floyd is on the downside and a little overrated IMO by the overall media.
I want to watch that fight night because of the previous fight, Mathysse (Argentina) vs Danny Garcia (i guess)
Mathysse could destroy Floyd for sure.

i shall be in attendance.  i expect Canelo to fight a careful, slow paced fight in the beginning...try to land a few hard shots to the body and steal a few early rounds to make Floyd come out of his shell.  nothin too surprising.  Canelo's a careful fighter in general.

hoping for a Mayweather-Cotto type fight that's still hanging in the balance come round 9 or 10

same stuff as always, the methodical tactician who never puts himself in harms way(Mayweather).  He'll eat Canelo alive.  No knockouts tonight imo.

(Canelo)He's a tough *** Mexican though, I feel he's going to tap Floyd's chin one good time, but on the same coin I feel Floyd's chin is underrated.  He's taken nice shots before, but it's so few and far in between, and he takes them so well it looks like he's never really been hurt.

Everyone susceptible to the one hitter quitter, but I just see Canelo going the way of every other fighter Floyd has faced, never able to penetrate his D or really hurt Floyd.  Floyd is still too sharp and honed in.
